ONE NAME. ONE SAVIOR. ✝️

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

— Acts 4:12

In sports, names are everywhere—on jerseys, lineup cards, scoreboards and trophies. But when it comes to eternity, only one Name has the power to save.

Jesus Christ did what we could never do. He lived without sin, took our place on the cross and rose from the grave. Salvation is not found in talent, success, religion or good works. It is found in Jesus alone.

That is why Pines exists. We love baseball. We love softball. We want to develop tough, disciplined athletes and leaders—but the field is only our platform.

Serious pitchers don’t simply throw harder—they understand how their body moves, how to protect their arm and how to train with purpose.

Pines Baseball is proud to host Randy Sullivan’s Florida Baseball ARMory for an elite, data-driven pitching development weekend designed for serious pitchers ages 11U–17U.

This experience will focus on the complete pitcher:

✅ Strength, movement and recovery

MERCY, NOT MERIT.

The world measures us by performance—wins, statistics, mistakes, rankings and results.

But the Gospel is different.

We are not saved because we performed well enough, worked hard enough or cleaned ourselves up. We are saved because Jesus Christ is merciful.

Our best efforts cannot erase our sin. That is why Jesus went to the cross. He paid the price we could never pay and offers new life to everyone who turns to Him in faith.

Stop trying to earn what God offers through mercy. Repent. Believe. Follow Jesus.

What an incredible turnout for today’s Pines Baseball tryouts!

To every athlete who stepped onto the field and competed, every parent who invested the time to bring them, and every coach and volunteer who helped make the day possible—thank you.

The effort, energy and excitement we witnessed today reminded us why Pines is so much more than baseball.

Our coaches are now carefully reviewing evaluations and working to finalize each roster. We believe every athlete deserves a thoughtful process, and we appreciate your patience while our coaches complete that work.

⚾️ TRYOUT DAY IS HERE! ✝️🌲

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7

Today, athletes will step onto the field carrying excitement, nerves, hopes and expectations. But God has not called us to compete in fear.

Players—be confident in how God made you. Hustle between every station. Listen to your coaches. Encourage the athlete beside you. Respond to mistakes with courage, and give everything you have.

A stopwatch may measure your speed. A radar gun may measure your velocity. Coaches may evaluate your performance—but none of those things measure your value. Your identity is found in Jesus Christ.

Come ready to have fun, compete hard and leave it all on the field!

🥎 ALL HEART. ALL FOR HIM. ✝️

Every practice. Every repetition. Every sprint. Every difficult moment when nobody is watching.

Colossians 3:23 reminds us that our effort is ultimately not for applause, trophies, recognition or the approval of people. Whatever God places before us, we are called to approach it wholeheartedly—as service to Him.

But we don’t work hard to earn God’s love or salvation. Jesus has already accomplished what we could never accomplish for ourselves. He died for our sins, rose again and offers salvation by grace through faith.

Because of that grace, our effort becomes worship.

At Pines, we want athletes who compete hard, respond to coaching, encourage their teammates and use their God-given abilities for His glory.

Today’s challenge: whatever is in front of you—school, work, practice, parenting or serving someone else—give it your whole heart and do it for the Lord.

Pines Baseball Tryouts are only two days away, and we’re looking for athletes who are ready to compete, work, learn and become part of something bigger than themselves.
