ormances broadcast nationally on Woodsongs Kids. Despite their young ages, the members are already seasoned performers known for their musicianship, versatility, and deep respect for the genre. Formed in Pennsylvania by standout pickers Izaak Atlas Schwartz (15, banjo) and Mollie Longenecker (13, fiddle), they are joined by fellow Pennsylvania guitarist Rita Perloff (14), Nashville bassist Jerry Ankney, Jr. (14), and mandolinist Orson Cornett (14) from Boone, North Carolina. Each member brings a distinct musical voice to the group, shaping a dynamic repertoire that spans the full spectrum of bluegrass, from traditional roots to fresh, forward-looking interpretations. Full Steam is often introduced as "The Future of Bluegrass", a title they are proud to honor.

Last year. These three Full Steam musicians Izaak, Mollie & Orson were growing their skills at Graves Mountain in Syria, VA as part of the Blue Ridge Center for Music & Creative Arts Master Classes in bluegrass. They were dead set on doing this Ronnie Bowman song. Still one of their favorites of all time I’d say. Happy Heavenly Birthday Ronnie Bowman!

Orson Cornett, mandolin player extraordinaire for Full Steam Bluegrass band plays a fine mandolin in this classic by Bill Monroe "Southern Flavor". Fun Fact: "Southern Flavor served as the title track for his 1988 album, which won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Recording. Later, Monroe and others added lyrics, though Monroe passed away before re-recording the vocal version.
