Men often have societal barriers that they must first overcome before accessing services such as counseling. To help reduce these barriers, Tennessee Voices for Victims asked men who have used these services to share about their experiences. As one survivor put it, "I grew up thinking I wasn't supposed to have emotions or feel and I certainly wasn't supposed to act on them." - Ed Davis, Survivor of Homicide Loss

If you need support, please reach out to us at 615.390.5202 or at [email protected].

You shouldn't expect to be fully equipped to handle everything that comes your way. - Brad Dunn, Survivor of Homicide Loss

Counseling is complex for anyone, but it can be especially complex when we have been taught to handle life's problems on our own. Please check out these men who took the step to reach out.

Are you in need of support through a victimization? Please connect with us. We are here to help!

Our Director at The Heart House, Annie Wortham, was honored as a hero for the volunteer work she has done through the Sexual Assault Center over the years. The Nashville Soccer Club invited her as a guest of honor to their game on Saturday night. Annie has truly dedicated her life to coming alongside others as they learn to navigate the difficult path following a victimization. We are so proud of her!

These are our photos from our Annual TrailBlazer event. We honored the late Senator Tommy Burks and his wife Senator Charlotte Burks for their great sacrifices to make our state a better place to live. Their granddaughter Amy New accepted the award on their behalf, and her remarks were touching and powerful. Thank you to everyone who made this night such a success!
