There are prayers you say… and prayers you plant. 🌱

Mr. Dave is burying a prayer from his heart into the soil at our Lindsley Center, lifting up our kids, our families, and our community. His prayer is rooted in 2 Thessalonians 3:5:

“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.”

At YES, we believe in the power of prayer — and we believe our kids deserve to be covered in it.

Keep our YES kids, families, staff, and community in your prayers. And to everyone who continues to support the work happening here: thank you for helping us nurture our South Nashville community.

Art Trunk is back! 🎨✨ And what better way to kick off our Art Club than with our friends at the Frist Art Museum?

Art Club is one of the programs we offer at both of our YES centers, creating space for our kids to explore their creativity, learn something new, and — most importantly — have fun. We’re always excited for this annual Art Trunk activity, and the Frist team brought so much kindness, patience, and creative knowledge to our kids.

Watching them tap into their imaginations was the best part. There’s something special about seeing the world through their eyes — maybe we could all imagine a little more. 💭

And just in time for Shimmer, the Frist’s new exhibition opening tomorrow! ✨ Be sure to go check it out!

We’re thankful for partnerships that believe in the power of investing in the next generation.

YES was honored to be highlighted by Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church during their Mission Emphasis Spotlight. Mr. Dave shared how YES serves our youth, and the power of communities pouring into one another.

We’re grateful to receive a generous donation from a church that is committed to making a difference.

Thank you, Mount Bethel, for helping us sow into the next generation and the children of God. We look forward to strengthening our partnership and continuing this work together! 🌱

Another Steps of Success 5K with our YES crew! 👟

Our YES kids and staff joined the Steps of Success 5K yesterday- encouraging each other, staying active, and celebrating each person who crossed the finish line. Physical activity is one of the ways we work to enrich the lives of our youth and this 5k
helps bring our mission to life.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of this Nashville event year after year!!

Today’s community baby shower hosted by Upsilon Psi Omega was a success! 🍼

We were happy to give away diapers and share resources with families from all over Nashville, and connect with our fellow organizations. We truly are stronger together.

Every chapter member from AKA was extremely supportive and put on a fantastic event that connected families with vital resources. Families left with toys, games, and even raffle ticket prizes. We look forward to attending the next annual community baby shower!
