📅 Toastmasters Recap
🎯Theme: "Fear: The Things I Am Most Afraid Of"
🗣Word of the Day: Dauntless – showing courage and determination in the face of fear.
🎤Speaker: Travis

Today's meeting reminded us that fear is something we all experience, but growth happens when we move forward anyway. Whether taking on a meeting role, giving a speech, or speaking up for the first time, every step outside our comfort zone helps us become more dauntless.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to another encouraging and inspiring meeting. See you next week! 😊

🎯 Theme: Father Figures Who Helped Shape Your Life
🗣 Word of the Day: Legacy, the impact and values passed down from one generation to the next.
🎤 Speaker: Tiffany

Today's meeting brought me to tears in the best way.

Listening to everyone share what they learned from their father or father figure, work ethic, shooting for the stars and landing on the moon, encouragement, support, and simply believing in them, reminded me of just how much one person can shape a life.

That is legacy. Passed down, lived out, and still shaping us today. 🤍

Another powerful meeting filled with heart, reflection, and connection.

📅 Toastmasters Recap
🤝 Theme: How Would You Like to Be Memorialized
🗣 Word of the Day: Epitome. She was the epitome of kindness and leadership in the way she served others.
🎤 Speaker: Debora

Today’s meeting encouraged us to reflect on the legacy we are leaving behind and how we want to be remembered by those around us. One powerful takeaway: Think about what you want your eulogy to say, and let’s live up to it every day through our actions, character, and the way we treat others.

Another thoughtful meeting filled with growth, reflection, and connection.

📅 Toastmasters Recap
🤝 Theme: Lawncare
🗣 Word of the Day: Cultivate: We must cultivate good habits and consistent effort if we want to grow.
🎤 Speaker: Amina
📖 Speech: Dear Younger Me

Amina shared five meaningful things she would tell her younger self, reflecting on lessons learned, personal growth, and giving ourselves grace through life’s journey.

We also learned a lot from Charlie about lawncare and the value of taking care of the things we want to grow. At home, we’re teaching our 11-year-old about money and responsibility by having him cut the grass and earn money, a real-life lesson in work ethic and cultivating discipline early on.

Another meaningful meeting filled with growth and connection.

📅Toastmasters Recap
🤝Theme: Friends: Can’t Live With Them, Can’t Live Without Them
🗣 Word of the Day: Authentic: genuine, real, and true to oneself
🎤Speaker: Abby
📖Speech: The Voices Outside My Head

Abby shared how she uses different “voices” in teaching—her kind voice, stern voice, and her favorite, the encouraging voice that uplifts her students. A great reminder of the impact our words and tone can have on others.

Another meaningful meeting filled with growth and connection.

Yesterday, I watched a famous, highly decorated actor bomb a 30-minute speech.

Not because he lacked talent. Not because he lacked experience.

Because he lacked preparation.

No structure. No clear message. No memorable close. Just… words.

This is why we practice. This is why we prepare. This is why Toastmasters exists.

🎶 Theme: In God We Trust, All Others Must Pay Cash
🗣 Word of the Day: Prosperous, and prosperous indeed describes the energy in the room!
🎤 Speaker: Kim Maltempo
📖 Speech: Ice-Breaker Speech

A huge shoutout to Kim on delivering her Ice Breaker speech, her very first! Kim wowed us with her story of attending college on a small ship with about 100 students, traveling to multiple countries and immersing herself in different cultures. She made lifelong friends along the way and now calls Greater Nashville home with her husband and two Huskies. 🐾 We can't wait to hear more, Kim!

📅 Toastmasters Recap
🎶 Theme: Salem Witch Trials
🗣 Word of the Day: Enchanting
🎤 Speaker: Bob Richie
📖 Speech: What is your pitch?

Bob reminded us that you never get a second chance to make a first impression — and your elevator pitch is your most powerful spell. In 30 seconds or less, you have the power to enchant a room, open a door, or land an opportunity.

🤠 Theme: Not My First Rodeo
🗣 Word of the Day: Indomitable – impossible to defeat or discourage
🎤 Speaker: Amina
📖 Speech: The Power of Showing Up

Today’s meeting was powerful! Amina delivered a phenomenal speech, opening with a conversation with her own worst critic—herself. It was raw, relatable, and had everyone hooked from the start, replaying that inner dialogue in their minds.
