Donelson Earlybirds Toastmasters Kickstart your Wednesdays with confidence! We meet every week at 7:00 AM on Zoom, and in person on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Come practice your public speaking, leadership, and communication skills in a supportive and fun environment! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced professional, you will benefit from our practical hints, tips, monthly magazine, fellowship and encouragement in a friendly structured meeting. Toastmasters learn by practice to become better communicators, citizens and leaders. In a typical meeting, every member has an opportunity to play a part with speeches, vocabulary, grammar, table topics, evaluations and even jokes.

🎤 Toastmasters Recap: "Learning to Live With It"

This was our last Toastmasters meeting of the month, and today was all about learning! Our newest member stepped into a Toastmaster role and got the full learn-as-you-go experience. We coached her on using the agenda as an outline to keep things moving, and she handled it like a champ.

Every meeting is a chance to grow. The structure keeps us grounded, the club has your back, and even a first role you're figuring out as you go builds confidence. 💪

Want to grow your speaking and leadership skills in a supportive room? Come join us!

🎯 Meeting Recap: "That Was Not On My Bingo Card!"

What an unexpected meeting at Donelson Early Birds!

• Helen shocked us with how sugar (and healthy foods like spinach & almonds!) can lead to kidney stones. 🥬😳
• Amina challenged us to expand our circles and personally invite someone who needs the growth & confidence Toastmasters offers. 💌

🌟 Toastmasters Meeting Recap! 🌟
🎤 Theme: "People Who Influenced You"
🗣️ Speaker: Darryl

Icebreaker Speech: Huge congratulations to Darryl on delivering his first speech! He took us through his diverse career journey—spanning many unique roles—that ultimately led him to his passion for AI and complex problem-solving. Above all, he shared what matters most: his role as a devoted husband and father.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories and inspired the room. See you at the next meeting! 👏✨

🎤 Toastmasters Recap
🎤 Speaker: Abby
📖 Word of the Day: Invigorating

This week's speech was all about communication styles — how understanding the way we (and others) naturally communicate can transform our conversations, relationships, and even how we lead. Abby broke it down in a way that left the room feeling... you guessed it, invigorated! 💪

Great job, Abby! 👏
