MATCH DAY 06.16.26

God is moving!

In the midst of war, loss, destruction—and even ongoing challenges like Ebola—something powerful is happening in Congo and Uganda. Children are being seen, supported, and restored. Stories are shifting. Hope is returning.

On June 16, we are stepping into Match Day with a goal of raising $50,000 to provide a full year of care for 115 children who have lost one or both parents to war. This includes counseling, education support, food assistance, mentorship, medical care, and safe community.
This is not just meeting needs—it’s long-term care that helps children rebuild their lives.

We believe generosity is one of the ways hope becomes real.
And we believe we are blessed—not to hold onto it, but to extend it to others.

If this stirs something in you, we invite you to prayerfully consider how you might be part of what’s happening.

Together, we can step into what God is doing in Congo and Uganda—and help carry it forward. 🕊️💙

Charles, a longtime supporter & friend of Exile International, traveled with our US team to see firsthand the mighty work God is doing on the ground in Congo & Uganda.

“I saw so much darkness,” Charles shared. “But I also saw so much light shining through the children and the leaders.”

Charles returned home deeply impacted by what he witnessed—both the heartbreaking realities children are facing after war and the powerful healing taking place through the Peace and Healing Program.

From worship services filled with joy, to stories of children finding safety, counseling, food, education, and community for the first time, his experience became a reminder that this work is deeply personal.

This is holistic care. Christ-centered healing of mind, body, and spirit.
In our newest blog, Charles shares the moments, stories, and people that changed him—and why he believes this mission matters so deeply.

You don’t have to board a plane to be part of the story. Your support is already helping bring hope, healing, and restoration to children affected by war.

TWO WEEKS until MATCH DAY. 🤍

Something is happening in Congo and Uganda that we don’t want you to miss.

In places marked by war, loss, destruction… and even ongoing health crises like Ebola, we are still seeing signs of life breaking through—children beginning to heal, hope returning, and stories slowly being rewritten.
And we believe there’s a place for you in that story.

On June 16, we’ll be raising $50,000 to provide a full year of care for 115 children who have lost one or both parents to war. This includes art-based trauma care, education support, food assistance, mentorship, medical care, and safe community.

These children are not forgotten—and they are not without hope.
We believe generosity is one of the ways hope becomes tangible.
What we’ve been given is meant to reach beyond us.

As we approach Match Day, we’re inviting you to consider how you might be part of empowering child survivors of war to become leaders for peace?
Together, we can step into what’s being written in Congo and Uganda—and help carry it forward. 🕊️

🚨EBOLA UPATE: EBOLA PROTECTION PLAN IN PLACE

Communities in Congo and Uganda are currently navigating a growing Ebola outbreak while already carrying the weight of war, displacement, instability, and limited healthcare access.

As cases continue to rise, response teams and local organizations are working urgently to help contain the spread and protect vulnerable communities.

For Exile, this is deeply personal because these are the same communities where our children, staff, leaders, and programs are located.
Our teams are continuing to show up faithfully—providing care, counseling, mentorship, education support, and safe community for children who have already endured unimaginable hardship.

In response, Exile is implementing an Ebola Protection Plan focused on helping protect children, staff, and surrounding communities through sanitation supplies, protective equipment, preparedness measures, and health education initiatives.

We would greatly appreciate your prayers for protection, wisdom, healing, and strength for the communities we serve and the leaders responding on the ground. Please pray for our nurses who are on the front lines of community care and for the Lord to keep our staff and youth safe.

In the midst of war, displacement, uncertainty, and now in the growing challenges communities are facing through the Ebola outbreak, this verse reminds us of something steady and unchanging: God remains faithful.

When circumstances feel fragile, His goodness remains constant.
When fear and hardship rise, His love still endures.

We continue praying for protection, healing, strength, and peace over the children, families, leaders, and communities we serve in Congo and Uganda. 🤍

Did you know May is Mental Health Month?

Mental health conversations matter—and sometimes knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. 🤍

That’s why we’ve gathered mental health resources designed for parents, caregivers, churches, and classrooms—offering practical tools, encouragement, and support for navigating emotional health with children and families.

Whether you’re walking through anxiety, trauma, grief, behavioral challenges, or simply wanting to better support the children in your life, we hope these resources remind you that you are not alone.

Healing happens in safe relationships, supportive communities, and spaces where people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

We’re grateful to continue advocating for emotional healing both globally and within our own communities.

EXILE FAMILY, SAVE THE DATE!
Our annual MATCH DAY is here!

God is moving!

In places marked by war, loss, and destruction… and now Ebola, we are seeing life, healing, and freedom! Testimony after testimony of children being restored. War will not have the last word with these children.
And we want to invite you into this story!

On June 16, we’re raising $50,000 to bring life-changing care to 115 children orphaned by war for a whole year! They need us
We believe God is inviting fellow believers to take part in the work He is writing for child survivors of war here in Congo and Uganda. We believe we are blessed — to be a blessing.

If the Lord has blessed you, we invite you to prayerfully ask Him how He might lead you to pass that blessing on to others. Because through Christ, we have been set free—and now we get to help bring that freedom to others!

We invite you to join what God is doing here in Congo and Uganda.
Together, let’s be a blessing!

Will you join us?

Step inside a day in the life of one of the youth in Exile’s Uganda programs. 🤍

From school and counseling to meals, community, play, and vocational training, these daily moments may seem simple—but for many of the children we serve, they represent something they once thought they’d never have again: safety, stability, and hope for the future.

Healing often happens in the ordinary moments.
A shared meal. A trusted mentor. A safe place to return to each day.

Thank you for helping make these moments possible!

In a world marked by conflict and uncertainty, we hold tightly to the promise that true peace comes from God.

We pray for peace over the children we serve, over their communities, and over every heart carrying grief, fear, or trauma today. The Lord is near!

As the Ebola outbreak continues spreading through parts of DR Congo and neighboring Uganda, our teams in Goma are already responding to protect vulnerable children and families.

Our medical staff has begun leading awareness campaigns, helping educate students, caregivers, and staff on Ebola prevention, hygiene, and safety precautions.

Handwashing stations and thermo flash thermometers have been installed at entrances to the center, school, and health clinic to help prevent contamination and monitor symptoms early. Soap, sanitation supplies, and additional protective resources are also being distributed throughout the community.

In the middle of conflict, displacement, closed borders, and growing instability, these preventative measures are critical — but they also require urgent resources.

Today, we’re asking our community to stand with Congo and Uganda.

Your support helps provide:
• Sanitation and hygiene supplies
• Medical screening equipment
• Protective resources for children and staff
• Continued care and support for vulnerable families during this crisis

Every gift helps our teams continue responding quickly and compassionately in the middle of overwhelming circumstances.
