We are beyond excited to have Taure Brown, Director of the James Lawson Institute for the Research and Study of Nonviolent Movements at Vanderbilt University, as our keynote speaker for this year's banquet!

In addition to being the director of the James Lawson Institute, Taure is a sociologist, educator, and community organizer from Kinston, North Carolina. His work sits at the intersection of scholarship and action, equipping communities with the tools to challenge injustice and build collective power.

We urgently need $30 million to be invested in the Barnes fund. Let’s continue working on urging our city leaders to stand up for housing in Nashville together.
