Everyone has a story to tell, and every story can become a song!

Join Music for Seniors for a fun, interactive songwriting workshop with gifted songwriter and teaching artist Bill Cabage, sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission and hosted by the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Participants will learn the basic elements of songwriting while contributing their own ideas, stories, and creativity to the collaborative creation of an original song. Working together with Bill, the group will develop the song’s lyrics and music throughout the workshop.

By the end of the session, participants will have created a song together and will perform it as a group, led by the teaching artist.

No songwriting experience is necessary. Just bring your stories, ideas, and imagination!

Good times in Goodlettsville - how about that?!?

Thanks to everyone that joined us this week for another great program with Donna Frost and the Usual Suspects. Donna, Lois, Denny, Dusty and Jack delivered a fun set of crowd favorites as we sang and danced along!

As we continue celebrating Assisted Living Week, we want to again recognize the caregivers/partners that brought out their residents and loved ones to share in some musical fellowship, followed by lunch provided by our friends at Delmas Long Community Center!

This Labor Day, while many enjoy a day off, countless caregivers, nurses, life enrichment directors, aides, and even a few of our Musician Partners are bringing comfort, connection, and joy to our older adults living with dementia.

The need for connection and care doesn't take a day off.

To every worker who clocks in today so someone else feels seen, soothed, or less alone: thank you. Your work is Labor Day in its truest sense.

Come on out for some music and fellowship!

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Donna Frost is a traveling troubadour with decades of performing and touring experience. Expertly weaving folk, blues and pop, she creates memorable concerts that champion the human spirit. She'll be bringing her band of 'Usual Suspects' for a special program of familiar tunes and good times to Delmas Long Community Center.

Well alrighty - thank you all for joining us yesterday for another great program at Tennessee State Museum- kudos to the team at the museum for making us all feel welcome again this year!

We enjoyed a great set of familiar tunes celebrating 'America 250', from Richard Wineland on vocals and guitar, Lee Armstrong Wineland on piano, Amberly Rosen on fiddle, and Roy Vogt on bass. This remarkably talented bunch were an absolute delight!

"I thought that this was one of the best groups that you have ever had in a few years of coming to your events. Big crowd, great participation, some dance, some clap, some sung with the music." says one of the attendees, Richard S.
