Connye Florance – is an award-winning vocalist and actress whose career credits include honors as Jazz Discovery’s “Jazz Vocalist Of The Year “; Nashville Grammy Nomination for Album of The Year, (Turn My Heart) and live performances across the country. She is a published songwriter, has released two studio albums and two live releases and been featured on a variety of music festival and jazz club stages.

Our Free Daytime Concert Series rolled into North Nashville last week!

Jannelle Means and her 'Soul Vibes' crew never disappoint and last Thursday they brought their 'Queens of Soul' program to Z. Alexander Looby Theater. With classics made famous by Aretha Franklin to Whitney Houston, we all had a blast singing and clapping along!

Well, another successful Percussion Workshop/Drum Circle completed - we sure had a blast at FiftyForward Donelson Station this week, with Ross Lester from 'Everybody Drum Some' leading the way!

Did you know that drumming has several noted benefits for older adults? Drum circles aren't just fun - they're genuinely good for you.

Research shows that group drumming can help reduce stress, sharpen focus, boost mood, and even support immune function. Plus, keeping a beat is a full-brain workout - coordinating rhythm, listening, and movement all at once.

There's something powerful about making music together that words can't quite capture. No experience needed. No wrong notes. Just rhythm, community, and a whole lot of joy.
