BGCMT Community Builders for 9/11 Day was a success! We were able to provide approximately 1,500 care packages to community members in need right here in Middle Tennessee. A special thank you to 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps for making this project possible and to everyone who helped bring it to life. Days before completing the service project, our Club Members participated in a 9/11 Day reflection and “Helping Hands” activity, giving them an opportunity to learn about service before putting those lessons into action. We’re grateful for everyone who helped our Clubs turn learning into meaningful service for our community!

Our Club Members kicked off our 9/11 Day initiative with a meaningful reflection and our “Helping Hands” art activity. The activity gave our youth a creative way to learn about the importance of service, kindness, and giving back to others in their community. We’re proud of the thought and heart they put into making a difference right here in Middle Tennessee.

As we wrap up our 9/11 Day initiative, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make it possible. From our incredible volunteers and dedicated staff to our Club members who helped put it all together, we’re so grateful for everyone who showed up and gave back.

A special thank you to 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps for supporting this initiative and helping make this opportunity possible. Together, we were able to assemble and package 1500 care packages and distribute them to people right here in our own community. We’re proud of the impact our Clubs made and grateful to everyone who helped us turn a day of service into an opportunity to give back to our neighbors.

This past Tuesday we had THREE special guests join us at our Preston Taylor Club: Marcus Harris, Micah Robinson, and T-Rac! 🐻💙

Our Club members had an absolute blast! Seeing the excitement on their faces and watching them create memories that they’ll be talking about for a long time is what it’s all about.

A huge thank you to the Tennessee Titans for spending time with our kids and creating an unforgettable evening. Experiences like this remind us that it’s not just about the moment, but the lasting impact we can make in the lives of our young people.

Thanks to the generous support of the Education Comes First Foundation our East End Prep Club members participated in Brain Snacks. Brain Snacks are short, ready-to-use academic activities for members who finish their homework or MobyMax time early—or who do not have homework that day. They keep Power Hour purposeful without feeling like extra schoolwork.

Following their September 11th remembrance and reflection lesson, our Club Members took part in the “Helping Hands” art activity focused on the importance of kindness, service, and giving back to others.

There are still a few more days to get involved! As our final Clubs assemble care packages for community members in need, we invite volunteers to join us and lend a helping hand. Together, we can turn reflection into action and make a meaningful difference in our community.

We want to thank the Fisk University NPHC chapters for volunteering in our teen center for our 9/11 Day service! A special shout out to the Alpha Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated for showing up during their annual service challenge! We appreciate everyone who has volunteered their time and joined us in giving back.
