Leadership grows through relationship, through being in community with people who see you, sharpen you, and hold you accountable to your own vision.

One way we invest in our community’s leaders is the Promising Leaders Cohort. From grassroots organizers to experienced organization leaders, Black impact professionals learn together, sharing their knowledge, and building something that lasts beyond any one person.

There is a lot happening in and around Nashville, and we want to help keep our community connected to the spaces, resources, and opportunities that matter.

This Community Roundup includes upcoming gatherings, screenings, workshops, and ongoing opportunities to learn, connect, and get involved.

At The Village Nashville, we believe community care also means sharing what is available and making good work easier to find.

Take a look through this post, save it for later, and share it with someone who may be looking for their next opportunity.

In Episode 2 of Reframing and Reclaiming Professionalism, we’re exploring generational differences in the workplace: how they shape the ways we communicate, collaborate, and define what it means to be “professional.”

Because unless you work completely alone, eventually you’ll encounter someone who doesn’t think, communicate, or work the way you do. The goal is to navigate differences without turning them into deficits.

Watch Episode 2 and take the Dominant Communication Style Assessment at the link in our bio.

In mission-driven work, healing is what makes transformation sustainable ✨

The Village invests in the care, restoration, and well-being of Black nonprofit leaders and the communities they serve. In practice this looks like supporting healing-centered organizations, like Homeland Heart, and partnering with Day 7 to expand access to personalized wellness support for Village members.

Because the people doing the work of changing our communities deserve to be nourished, too.
