We offer free dance lessons as well as social dance, performance, and competition opportunities. Vandy Ballroom is a student organization dedicated to promoting, teaching, and competing in collegiate ballroom dance. We are open to both VU and VUMC students, faculty, and staff. This page will be used for sharing upcoming events such as classes, meetings, and socials.

Woah would you look at that, no classes this week!

Instead this Monday we will be practicing for our ENCORE PERFORMANCE which will be happening TUESDAY

We will be practicing on Monday from 6:15 pm - 9 pm

Then, on Tuesday we will have our actual ENCORE PERFORMANCE! WOOO!! The performance starts at 5:45 pm and we will be on bright and early so make sure you’re in your seat at a good time!

UPDATE: Our Vandy outing this week has been moved from Thursday to Friday!

As the semester begins to wrap up and wind down are you feeling in need of a break from the chaos and rushing around? Well well well, you’ve come to the right place! Swing by our (free!) dance lessons this week to get your swing on!

This Monday from 6:15-7:15 pm we will start off with our beginner East Coast Swing lesson

After this, we will have our intermediate Waltz lesson from 7:15-8:15 pm

Finally we will end the night with a practice session for our Encore performance towards the end of April! If you’re not performing, you are still welcome to stick around to learn some dancing basics!

Then this Thursday we will (finally) have another Vandy Ballroom outing, with a trip to The Nashville Palace from 7-10 pm for a fun night of Country Swing and line dancing! See the GroupMe for transportation details - link in our bio!

No Vandy Ballroom outing this week (so sad ☹️) but fear not for next week we shall be venturing out to The Nashville Palace once more for a fun night of Country Swing and line dancing!

In the meantime, take a gander at our lovely crew last Thursday that tagged along for our Plaza Mariachi outing! How cool! How fun! How convincing to take a little trip with us to go dancing in the future!
