๐Ÿ“ˆ At Rock The Street, Wall Street our work is possible thanks to the extraordinary commitment of our industry volunteers and corporate sponsors who invest in the next generation.

โœจ We're grateful to leaders like Steve Jarmel and the team at Periscope Equity, whose support helps students gain access to an industry they may never have imagined for themselves.

๐Ÿ’ฌ As Steve recently shared:
"At Periscope, we believe students benefit most when they are introduced to career possibilities before key college and career decisions are made. High school is a critical time to help young people understand the breadth of opportunities within finance and the capital markets, especially for students who may not have industry connections.

๐Ÿ’ฌ RTSWS helps hard working students feel welcomed, confident, and capable early in their journeys through mentorship, industry access, and real-world experiences. That early encouragement can have a lasting impact on the educational and career paths students choose. We are proud to support RTSWS and its work to help build a stronger, more robust future for our industry."

๐ŸŽ“ At RTSWS, we know that access changes outcomes. When students meet professionals, visit workplaces, build their networks, and see themselves reflected in the industry, they begin to recognize that they belong.

๐Ÿš€ Thank you, Steve, and thank you to all of our sponsors, mentors and champions who continue to open doors and help students move from classrooms to careers.

๐Ÿ“Š Special shoutout to Steve Jarmel, Eric Hinkle, Lisa (Lerner) Harkins, Ami Mehta, Beth Bender and Sabryna Voss.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Thank you to Visa for hosting Rock The Street, Wall Street students for a memorable fireside chat that continues to resonate. Students are sharing reflections on the insights and advice they received from the conversation.

๐ŸŽค RTSWS CEO Ashley Leftwich was joined by Jill Murphy, Senior Vice President and Chief Velocity Officer, Finance at Visa, and Najada Kumbuli, President of the Visa Foundation, for a discussion that brought financial concepts to life. Additionally, Nicole Smith, SVP Treasurer, keynoted the session with a focus on careers.

๐Ÿ›œ Students also learned what happens behind the scenes when they tap a card or phone to make a purchase, explored how technology and AI are shaping the future of financial services, and gained a deeper understanding of the many career paths available across the industry.

๐ŸŒ Nicole, Jill and Najada spoke candidly about the value of mentorship, the importance of analytical thinking and the reality that careers are rarely linear. Their stories reinforced an important message for students: there is no single path to success. Continue learning, build on successes and remain open to opportunities you may not yet see.

๐Ÿ’ก Ashley closed with a powerful reminder: every financial system we interact with was designed, built, and improved by people. One day, our students could help create what comes next.

โญ Thank you to Visa, Nicole, Jill, and Najada for investing your time and sharing your experiences to help students connect what they learn in the classroom to future opportunities.

๐Ÿ“Š What does it mean to be intentional about your career, your finances, and the value you bring to the table?

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ In our latest episode of Rocking Finance, our CEO Ashley Leftwich sat down with Cary Carbonaro, CFPยฎ Professional, MBA, author of Women and Wealth, for a thoughtful conversation about building confidence, understanding your worth, and making purposeful decisions for your future.

๐Ÿ“ˆ For firms and leaders, Cary offers an important reminder: the next generation brings fresh perspectives, innovation, and new ideas. Building teams that include more women is essential to understanding and serving an expanding client base, particularly through the Great Wealth Transfer.

๐ŸŽ“ For Rock The Street, Wall Street students and young professionals considering a career in finance, remember: your perspective matters, your voice belongs in the conversation, and there is a place for you in this industry. Work hard, ask questions, and overdeliver.

๐Ÿš€ Whether you're just beginning to explore career possibilities or looking to take the next step in your journey, this discussion is filled with practical advice, encouragement, and insights for every stage of the journey.

๐ŸŒŸ Thank you, Cary, for sharing your roadmap and for helping make finance more accessible and welcoming to the next generation.

๐ŸŽ“ As Rock The Street, Wall Street celebrates our Seniors, they are looking ahead to whatโ€™s next and reflecting on what theyโ€™ve gained:

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œMy favorite part about being an RTSWS Student CEO is definitely getting to engage with peers and watching them through the sessions learn more about finance.โ€ - Lexi

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œAll the volunteers who attended the sessions were always so nice and inviting. They helped us develop our professional portfolios, learn more about finance and give us tips and tricks to help us succeed.โ€ - Tanisha

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œIโ€™m really glad that Iโ€™ve been able to have the support and the mentoring and the guidance with RTSWS. And Iโ€™m glad to know that after I graduate high school, Iโ€™ll still have that support.โ€ - Michelle

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œI learned how to value stocks and how to calculate what I would need for college, resources I didnโ€™t have before RTSWS, not because I didnโ€™t want to learn, but because they hadnโ€™t been provided to me.โ€ - Maria

๐Ÿš€ These stories show what access, guidance and encouragement can make possible.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Recently, Rock The Street, Wall Street met with students and campus leaders at several leading universities across Massachusetts, including Northeastern University, Smith College, Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College and Boston University.

๐Ÿ’ฌ These conversations reinforce the important role business clubs can have in helping students explore career pathways, build confidence and connect with resources that support their next steps.

๐ŸŽค One RTSWS session that stands out took place at Smith College, where RTSWS Founder Maura Cunningham led a full-room discussion in the college library. Thirty women attended, including students from neighboring campuses, for an engaging Q&A focused on career planning, industry access and what comes next. Many also registered for the RTSWS Career Center.

๐Ÿ“ˆ The enthusiasm in the room was clear. These students are ambitious, thoughtful and ready to access the industry networks, guidance and community RTSWS was created to provide.

๐ŸŒ With connections to more than 100 university campuses, RTSWS continues to identify new ways to expand programming and deepen student engagement.

๐Ÿš€ At Rock The Street, Wall Street, we see the impact of access every day. When students build strong foundations in Financial & Investment fundamentals alongside mentorship and industry connection, their confidence grows and their trajectories accelerate.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Ashley encouraged leaders to think about capital allocation along with access allocation, expanding who is introduced into these networks and who has a seat at the table.

๐ŸŒŽ To our friends and Advisory Council members, thank you for the impact you make across our footprint and throughout the industry. You show up for our students in meaningful ways, offering guidance, opening doors, and helping connect learning to real opportunity.

๐Ÿš€ At our Woman of the Year event, honoring Kristie Feinberg, CFA and recognizing Reginald Sanders, CFA, CAIA as RTSWS Supporter of the Year, CEO Ashley Leftwich reflected on the power of having trusted people in your corner, leading a fireside chat and introducing a student panel. It was a meaningful reminder that relationships built over time continue to drive impact in new and lasting ways.
