📈 What a great CFP Board Connections Conference during Financial Planning Month. RTSWS CEO Ashley Leftwich and COO Johannah Mullenix enjoyed connecting with financial planning leaders while participating in insightful conversations about future career pathways.

🎤 The conference featured compelling panels, including “The Future We’re Building,” with Jon Dauphiné, Sheena Gray, K. Dane Snowden, Dennis J. Moore, CFP®, MBA and Michael D. Gibney, CFP®, CAP®, AIF®.

🎤 Another important discussion focused on women and wealth, featuring Suzanne Siracuse, Laura Combs, CFP®, MBA, Kate Feeney, CFA, CFP® and Cary Carbonaro, CFP® Professional, MBA.

📊 We were glad to see industry friends, including Seema Naicker CFP®, Moley Evans and Rob Langrick, CFA, CIPM. It was also wonderful to connect with neighboring organizations, including the Association of African-American Financial Advisors, Financial Planning Association (FPA®), Women's Alliance of Financial Advisors.

🎓 We're proud to work with talented students and industry supporters, bringing valuable guidance back to our students through the Rock The Street, Wall Street Career Center and workshops while sharing their feedback and questions with financial leaders.

📢 Shout out to CFA Society New York for hosting such an exciting event all about bonds! It was great for Rock The Street, Wall Street to participate and hear Robin Wigglesworth of the Financial Times discuss his new book, A Fabulous Debt: The Epic Story of How Bonds Built the Modern World. Thanks to Mark Howard, CFA for leading such a good discussion.

📕 As Robin notes, some have considered bonds boring; however we agree with him, they are anything but. Bonds have funded everything from “the Crusades to climate tech” and so much in between. Robin shared that he even attended a big birthday party in Amsterdam for a 400-year-old bond that is still paying its investors.

🎓 For students learning about capital markets, the discussion is a reminder that finance has a long history, a few surprises and plenty of great stories.

♻️ RTSWS was proud to join conversations at New York Climate Week. Across the City, leaders in finance, technology, sustainability and public policy explored how to build more resilient communities.

At REGEN HOUSE, The Nest Campus, Pier 57 and other venues, many discussions stood out. Here are a few highlights:

🔹 New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) examined how growing climate fluctuations affect financial risk, property insurance costs and long-term insurability, with perspectives from Moody's Analytics, S&P Global, New York University and Insurance for Good.
🔹Verizon, Ericsson and Palistar Capital explored how telecommunications infrastructure, hardware circularity and capital markets can support the resilience economy.
🔹 The Buckminster Fuller Institute opened a discussion with Innovera and California Forward on financing and delivering solutions at scale to help communities prepare for today’s challenges and those ahead.

🎓 It was especially rewarding to connect with colleagues across the industry, including the Financial Women's Association of NY and Financial Women of San Francisco, and to help Rock The Street, Wall Street scholars take part. These conversations show students how careers in investment and innovation can help communities develop sustainable solutions.
