Happy National Hunting and Fishing Day!
Today, we celebrate more than a day in the woods or on the water. We celebrate the traditions, conservation, and connections that make hunting and fishing such an important part of our outdoor heritage.

At TWRF, we believe the future of conservation starts with the next generation. Through R3 — Recruitment, Retention & Reactivation — we’re working to introduce young people to hunting and fishing, create meaningful outdoor experiences, and help ensure these traditions continue for generations to come.

When we take a young person hunting or fishing, we’re not just teaching them how to harvest game or catch a fish. We’re teaching them to respect wildlife, appreciate the outdoors, understand conservation, and become the future stewards of our natural resources.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from TWRF!
As we head into a busy season of events and outdoor traditions, we’re taking a moment to recognize the people who make it all possible.

Our staff and volunteers give their time, energy, and hard work to help bring our events to life — and we truly couldn’t do it without them.

We’re also incredibly grateful for our donors and sponsors whose generosity and support help make these events and programs possible.

Thank you to everyone who works behind the scenes, volunteers, gives, and supports TWRF. We appreciate you!

TWRF had a great time attending the MidwayUSA Foundation’s National Youth Shooting Sports Conference!

A few days filled with great conversations, new connections, and valuable insights. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from others, share ideas, and reflect on how we can continue supporting the future of youth shooting sports.

August is National Shooting Sports Month and at TWRF, that means celebrating the next generation of shooters and the hunters we're bringing back to the field.
Through the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP), young Tennesseans are building skill, confidence, and a lifelong love of the shooting sports. And through our R3 programs we're making sure the tradition doesn't stop with one generation.
This month is a reminder of why we do this work: safe, responsible shooting sports keep our hunting heritage alive for years to come.
