Happy 4th of July!

As we celebrate the 4th of July today, this is a year of huge milestones including 250 years of the United States, 100 years of The Chi Psi Educational Trust, and the 185th Convention coming up in just a few weeks in Eugene, OR.

10 years ago, at Chi Psi’s 175th Convention in Colonial Williamsburg, a Grand Union Flag flown above the Capitol Building was formally presented to the fraternity by Richard Schumann, Rho ’80, known for portraying Patrick Henry during the 175th Convention. The flag—also called the Continental Flag—is significant as one of the first unofficial flags of the rebelling American colonies, flown in Philadelphia in 1775 and at George Washington’s camp near Boston in 1776.
