Have you ever scrolled past a post asking for volunteers and thought, " I'm too busy! I don't have time for that. They don't need me. Someone else will cover it. I'm sure plenty of other people will respond."?
What if each person who also saw that post responded the same way?
The TRUTH is.....we do need YOU! When each of us work together, we create a community of support, love, and grace.
"I remember setting an appointment at the Womenβs Pregnancy Center in the Bedford/Euless area and walking in and feeling loved automatically, there was no judgment, they were the sweetest ladies ever. We waited until it was our turn to go back and the lady showed us everything that had donated for pregnant women, we watched the videos and then I saw him. I saw my baby boy. I heard his heartbeat and I knew he was mine. We walked out from the sonogram room and she had mentioned a program where you could get credits to go spend at their store and one of the things offered was to attend a semester of Embrace Grace.
I remember reaching out to Salina, who was the leader at the Southlake campus and I remember walking into this huge church on a Monday night seeing all these pregnant women sitting there and talking. All these women have different stories of their lives and how they got where they are today. I also remember thinking that I am the youngest one here and was terrified. But Salina was there with open arms welcoming me. No one ever judged me in Embrace Grace, not because of my age, where I came from or anything.
Those group of women is what kept me going every week. I would always look forward to Monday nights to have to myself even if it was with other people. We learned more about ourselves, about our babies lives, how to cherish a mistake and not suffer through it. Embrace Grace is what helped me keep my baby and my spirits alive." - Anonymous Embrace Grace Alumni
