Pencil Box The DG PENCIL Box is a retail space for educators filled with classroom essentials. MNPS teachers shop for FREE!

The store is stocked solely by generous donations from national brands, the Nashville community and our PENCIL Partners. The DG PENCIL Box serves under-funded teachers and economically disadvantaged students in MNPS schools. MNPS faculty can shop for new supplies for their students and classrooms at absolutely no cost one time per semester. Feedback from our teacher shoppers tells the story best – “Students who are not worried about having the proper supplies are more focused, socially engaged, and prepared for class.”

The DG PENCIL Box is stocked through generous donations from national brands, the Nashville community and our PENCIL Partners, many of whom host school supply drives on our behalf. With donors, volunteers, teachers and PENCIL all working together, we are helping thousands of students in Nashville!
