I visited The Sewist The Sewist for their soft opening today. Oh my! So nice to have this resource in Nashville. Lovely fabrics, quite a few notions, a Fe patterns. They have Coats & Clark and Maxilock threads in stock. They do not plan to carry Guttermann threads but they will stock Mettler.

One really nice surprise is they can print .pdf patterns at a very reasonable rate of $3/page. Just email your pattern and your contact info to [email protected].

Another nice feature is they print off a low-tack sticker for each fabric you buy. It has the fabric, the fiber content, the width, how much you bought, the price per yard, and even the month you made the purchase! Brilliant!

The parking lot is small but I found a spot on the street.

Come and interact with your sewing friends and show off your sewing makes. Feel free to SHOW off your completed garments or bring your in-progress garments to BRAINSTORM sewing techniques or ask questions with American Sewing Guild members.
10:00 am — Setup
10:30 am – Mix and Mingle Starts and Sewing Machine Setup
11:00 am – Fashion Show (Members are encouraged to wear or bring your self-made creations to share.)
11:30 am – Continue Sewing and Talking
1:30 pm – Tear Down
2 pm – Event End
