Did you know? Nearly 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and 1 in 8 women in America will face it in their lifetime. While progress has been made, awareness alone isn’t enough.
For black and brown communities especially, the fight is even harder - resources and research haven’t always represented us. But Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is working to change that.

Prevention doesn’t end when National Hazing Prevention Week does. It has to live in how we lead, how we serve, and how we show up for one another every day 💙

Knowing what hazing looks like is the first step. Recognizing it takes awareness. Speaking up takes courage. And protecting our Sisterhood takes all of us.

From our newest members to our most seasoned Sorors, we each have a responsibility to help create spaces rooted in safety, accountability, respect, and Finer Womanhood long after this week is over.

Know it. Recognize it. Speak up. Keep choosing better.

The Thriving, Tenacious Tau Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated proudly presents Finer Academy 850, serving youth ages 6–18! Today’s session was all about the power of having a vision for your life! The young ladies learned that when you know where you’re going, you’re more likely to stay focused, make positive choices, and avoid distractions that can pull you away from your goals.

Then they had the opportunity to put those dreams on display! ✍🏾📝✨ The young ladies created their very own vision boards filled with goals, dreams, inspiration, and reminders of the future they are working toward. Because when you can SEE IT, BELIEVE IT, and WORK FOR IT, you can ACHIEVE IT! 🙌🏾🎯

But the learning didn’t stop there! 💙

Following the Vision Board session, our youth put service into action by participating in a community service project. They prepared bags for Tau Zeta Chapter’s Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk. Their hands-on service was a meaningful reminder that true leadership is not only about setting goals for yourself, but also about giving back and making a positive difference in the lives of others. 💙🫶🏾

Silence doesn’t stop harm. Sometimes, it gives it room to continue.

Speaking up may be uncomfortable, but when harmful behavior goes unchallenged, it can become normalized, repeated, and eventually mistaken for tradition.

Accountability is Sisterhood in action. Whether you are newly initiated or have proudly worn your letters for decades, each of us has a responsibility to protect the women beside us and create something better for those coming behind us.

Your voice matters. Use it to interrupt harm, challenge the cycle, and protect our organization.

Join us in celebrating Soror Jennie Joseph on this incredible recognition. Let’s continue to support her mission as it reaches even wider audiences.

Her project “The Ebony Canal” took home the award for Best Short Documentary at the 17th Annual BronzeLens Film Festival, an Oscar-qualifying showcase for storytelling excellence.

Directed by three-time Diversity in Cannes-winning filmmaker Emmai Alaquiva, “The Ebony Canal” is narrated by EGOT winner Viola Davis and championed by Tina Knowles. The film centers stories of education, advocacy, and the protection of life, and Soror Jennie shared that this honor belongs to the courageous mothers around the country who shared their truths to make it possible.

This win comes on the heels of Soror Jennie’s ongoing work in maternal health advocacy, and it’s a powerful reminder of the impact our Sorors are making on screens and stages around the world.
