And the work continues...

Today, The Mother & Daughter Experience awarded a $500 scholarship to the Spartenettes at Stratford STEM Magnet School.

The Mrs. Linda M. Everett ARTS Memorial Fund honors our late mother and grandmother by funneling dollars into dance teams, companies and organizations.

Sydnei and I are extremely dutiful with our 501 C 3 status. Proceeds from all of our events go right back into the community.

I reminded the majorettes that dancing is good, but respect for self and others, learning your leadership style and forming a sisterhood is the glue to a successful dance squad.

Congrats Tyrus Sellers and the girls on keeping dance alive. We look forward to seeing you all on the field this fall.

Looking over our evaluations from the conference.

Our 13-17 year old track for our young ladies exposed them to pertinent information and creative conversations and activities that made them feel seen, valued and heard. But one overarching theme was that they wanted more time in the session.

One teen said "I really enjoyed the breakout session. I liked being able to connect with other girls my age and the facilitator did a good job engaging us by not just talking at us, but with us. I really liked the creative activity as well."

I'm resting but the wheels are turning...

And the work continues...

One of our Legacy Motherhood Awardees could not attend last week's conference experience, so I hand delivered her trophy to her today. The Legacy Builder Motherhood Award goes to Ms. Diana Peterson!

Through every season and circumstance, she raised her six daughters to know and reverence God, demonstrating that true strength is rooted not in ease, but in unwavering faith and perseverance. She is more than a remarkable mother. She is a legacy builder, whose life has cultivated generations of faith, character, and purpose.
