Equine-Assisted Programs that promote Hope and Healing in Nashville, TN, in support of our Military, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

We are open to the public for paid sessions with all funds going to our free programs for those who serve. Did You Know This About Some Of Our Military Veterans?... Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is the unseen Enemy for all too many of our Brave Warriors.

• We are losing over 20 Active Service Members every day to su***de; that’s more lives lost than Iraq and Afghanistan combined! And these numbers don’t include any of our Veterans who fought in prior wars.

• In the past year alone, the number of diagnosed cases of PTSD in the Military jumped over 50%

• It is believed that 1 in every 5 of our Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan has PTSD.

• 20% of the soldiers who have been deployed in the past 6 years have been diagnosed with PTSD.

• Over 300,000 of our brave men and women have some level of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.*

A Beginning -
Every journey begins with a first step… and yesterday, we witnessed a beautiful one. We welcomed a new participant for her very first session.

Merv found this little grey guy at the front door, and immediately we all agreed, there was no way we could leave him to fend for himself. So… my daughter & I brought him home.

We already had Lua, our beautiful black cat, and Nova, our sweet orange boy. And now, somehow, this tiny grey soul has made his way into our hearts and officially become part of the HHH family !!

One of our favorite things about what we do at Hope and Healing at Hillenglade is acknowledging that healing doesn’t always look serious. Sometimes it looks like laughing in the barn, getting a little creative, and giving a Norwegian Fjord a & . 🐴✂️💛

We had so much fun cutting Henni's mane in the traditional style. There’s something about taking the time to care for an animal, work together, and enjoy the little moments that makes memories—and these are the moments we treasure most.

And can we just agree…Master Henni looks pretty fantastic !!

So thankful for these animals who teach us to slow down, be present, try something new, and find joy in the simple things.
