NASHVILLE WINE AUCTION LAUNCHES JUST IN TIME FOR
THANKSGIVING TOASTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA SHARING

Virtual Fundraiser Encourages Wine Lovers Everywhere
To Help Fund The Fight Against Cancer With Online Initiative

NASHVILLE, TENN. – NOV. 25, 2020 – This week, the Nashville Wine Auction, the country’s longest-running charity wine auction, is launching a unique online public aware

ness and fundraising initiative centered around making a toast on social media in honor of someone who has fought or is fighting cancer in some way. The initiative is called , and it combines the love and fun of wine with the heartfelt compassion for people living with cancer. The nonprofit organization is asking the public to help them spread the word and raise funds for several worthy cancer-fighting organizations with global reach, national impact, and local touch.

“We unfortunately can’t gather together in groups in person these days,” said Nashville Wine Auction CEO Holly Whaley. “However, we still want to raise money for the cancer-fighting organizations our nonprofit supports. Additionally, we enjoy celebrating the love of wine with one another, so we created this social media-based initiative to help us do that. We believe will be fun, build connections, raise awareness, and generate much-needed funds for our beneficiaries in need.”

The initiative officially launches Thanksgiving week, teeing up the opportunity for family members and friends to share toasts with one another online in a year when many will be unable to travel to celebrate the holiday in person. How to Participate and Make a Toast:
Participants simply post a photo or video and tell their story and make a toast. Maybe it is a memory of a loved one lost to cancer, or encouragement for someone living with cancer. They then invite friends to share their stories and toasts – and donate – to help fund the fight against cancer. They are then encouraged to use and tag to help easily share stories. Lastly, likes and shares are encouraged to help increase awareness of the new initiative. In addition to making a toast, some people may choose to support by simply going to www.LoveWineHateCancer.org and making a donation or buying promotional merchandise. The Nashville Wine Auction expects to expand the initiative nationally and internationally amongst its many partners and supporters. A few early wineries and wine retailers working with even before launch include: Red Sprits & Wine, Wine Shoppe at Green Hills, Marimar Estate, and CADE Estate Winery. (Details at www.LoveWineHateCancer.org)

“Our hope is that our little online initiative will grow across the country,” said Whaley. “We believe it has the potential to raise money while connecting us through social media toasts and a united cause. Let’s have some fun and do some good!”

One of the Nashville Wine Auction’s most generous wine donors — and one of the biggest animal lovers ever — Pam Taylor, joins in the toasting trend. She challenges all dog and cat lovers to make a toast, share this toast and/or go to www.LoveWineHateCancer.org and make a donation to help support the 9 cancer-fighting nonprofits listed on the site. Thank you to Pam & Steve Taylor for all their generosity over the years — and for this fun toast! ❤️🍷😻🐾🐕 (Note: Pam’s little dog William recently had to go into a cart as he has lost the ability to move his back legs, but he has taken to it very well, and is clearly happy to support the cause with his big sister Stella!)

Toasting to Maya’s good MRI results today! Congratulations to Maya and her sweet family on the positive news and thank you for choosing to introduce at this time of celebration to support families facing similar cancer journeys. ❤️ Maya’s story can be followed on Maya's Journey. ❤️================❤️
Repost from Bonnie Mason, Maya’s Mom:
It’s so nice to have good news to share these days! I want to share a quick toast in honor of my girl Maya upon hearing her oncologist’s opinion regarding her MRI today – her tumor is stable, and perhaps even a little smaller. Thank you, God! I am introducing a special toast as part of the initiative, a social media fundraising and public awareness effort created by the Nashville Wine Auction designed to help raise money to help nine local nonprofits that help people fighting cancer. Our family has personally benefited from a couple of these organizations. Please check out http://www.LoveWineHateCancer.org and explore these nonprofits for yourself, select the one that moves you, and donate to the one of your choice. You may choose to buy one of these cute hats or shirts. Or, simply make a toast of your own and post it on line to help us spread the word. So, raise a glass with me, log into http://www.LoveWineHateCancer.org, and help me celebrate some good news today. Cheers to you, Maya, and to all of you who have supported our family in this fight, and who are fighting your own fight. Bless you all and cheers! -- Bonnie Zeidler Mason (Maya’s Mom)
