The 2026 Silver (and Gold!) Circle class has been chosen! NATAS is proud to honor those who have made significant and impactful contributions to our industry through induction into our ππΌπΉπ± & π¦πΆπΉππ²πΏ ππΆπΏπ°πΉπ² ππΌπ»πΌπΏ π¦πΌπ°πΆπ²ππ. These exceptional and inspirational professionals are honored for making an enduring contribution to the vitality of the industry and for setting standards we all hope to emulate.
First up for the class of 2026, Lisa Spencer!
Lisa Spencer is celebrating 25 years at WSMV 4, Nashville where she leads Middle Tennesseeβs most experienced weather team. A native of Jackson, Tennessee, Lisa has spent her career forecasting weather across the Southeast, including stops in Memphis, Raleigh, and The Weather Channel in Atlanta.
Her work has earned national recognition, including Broadcaster of the Year from the National Weather Association, the American Meteorological Societyβs Award for Broadcasting Excellence, and 12 regional Emmy Awards. She was also the first woman to earn the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal.
Beyond broadcasting, Lisa is deeply committed to education and service. She speaks to thousands of students each year, creates weather and science content for children, and is the author of three childrenβs books. She also supports literacy, animal rescue, and numerous community organizations throughout Middle Tennessee.
Lisa and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at a banquet in Nashville on October 15th, the event will be live-streamed for all to enjoy. ππβ¨
