Ahead of the House Ways & Means Republicans’ field hearing in Collierville, Tennessee, AFP-TN’s West Tennessee Grassroots Director Trey Cleek joined State Representative Chris Todd State Senator Ed Jackson Congressman David Kustoff, Wade Thomson
& Brandon Hardee at the Orgill Innovation Center.

The hearing focusing on how the One Big Beautiful Bill is delivering for small businesses, manufacturers, and working families and why policies that let Tennesseans keep more of what they earn, invest in their businesses, and create opportunity matter far beyond Washington.

We’re especially glad to see Tennessee voices like Wade Thomson’s being heard directly by members of Congress.

Tennesseans expect every tax dollar to deliver results and education should be no exception. This is encouraging news for the Volunteer State. When we focus on student outcomes, accountability, and making sure education dollars are spent effectively, taxpayers AND students win.

That’s how we keep Tennessee moving in the right direction. 🇺🇸

The Volunteer State ranks seventh overall in the 2026 Education Freedom Report Card, with high marks for education spending efficiency and academic transparency.
