Luke 14:12 Luke 14:12 is a soup kitchen serving free, hot, meals to Nashville's hungry & homeless at 11:30 each Tuesday and Thursday. Meet our guests. Serve your neighbors!

Luke 14:12 is a non-profit soup kitchen that has been providing noon meals to Nashville's hungry and homeless since 1983. Although Luke 14:12 is a soup kitchen, we don't serve soup! Instead Luke 14:12 prepares hot, nutritious dinner-style meals three times each week for 250 hungry individuals. These meals always include: an entree, vegetables, salad, fruit, dessert and a beverage. Meals are served at noon every Monday, Tuesday and Friday in the dining room of Room In The Inn (705 Drexel, Nashville, TN 37203). Luke 14:12 began serving Nashville’s homeless community in 1983 and in June 2004 incorporated into a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.

Thursday’s lunch at Luke 14:12 was made extra special thanks to an incredibly generous donation of fresh, locally grown produce from the Troubadour Club Garden.
The beautiful tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and fresh herbs were put right to work in our kitchen. We used them to prepare a colorful fresh cucumber, tomato and pepper salad, along with fresh rosemary for our roasted pork loin. The result was a delicious, fresh meal that our guests thoroughly enjoyed.
A special thank you to Mandy Hannah and Laura Braden of the Troubadour Club Garden, for sharing the garden’s bounty with us. Donations like this allow us to serve food that is not only nourishing, but fresh, beautiful, and prepared with care.
