Every day, STARS is working alongside young people, families, schools, and communities through:
✨ School-based mental health support

Our work looks different from program to program, but it all comes back to one thing: helping students pursue their unlimited potential by providing hope, health, and connection.

Our Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists were out in the community on Friday, educating people about safe medication disposal, providing medication lock boxes, and sharing resources for storing medications safely.

More than 50% of misused prescription medications are obtained from family or friends, making safe storage and disposal an important part of overdose prevention.

Want to safely dispose of unwanted medications? Find a drop-off location near you: https://starsnashville.short.gy/dispose-of-medication

We are so grateful to announce that the Nissan Foundation has awarded STARS a grant, allowing us to continue vital trainings for students and educators across Middle Tennessee!

For more than a decade, Nissan has been an incredible partner in this work. Their support has allowed us to equip students and educators with tools to build empathy, understanding, and real connection while fostering inclusive learning environments.

This generosity is game-changing. It allows STARS to keep doing what we do best: reaching schools across the region and making a real impact on students, educators, and entire communities.

Every year before the school year starts, we gather our amazing counselors and therapists, and the energy is unreal!!! Getting our entire staff together is rare, but when everyone is in the room?? You can feel how incredible this organization is and how deeply impactful the work we do truly is.

These people are out there in the schools and in the community, doing the work every single day, making a real difference. And getting to see and hear from them at the start of the year?? It's absolutely magical!

What happens when organizations come together with one shared goal? Amazing things!

We're so excited to celebrate the Youth Opportunity Center being nominated by the Nashville Business Journal for Best Real Estate Deal!

This recognition is about so much more than a property. Through the collaboration of STARS, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, and Oasis Center, we were able to secure the purchase of the Youth Opportunity Center parking lot, strengthening a shared space where organizations work side by side to expand opportunities and support for young people across Middle Tennessee.

It's a wonderful reminder of what's possible when a community comes together to invest in the next generation. We're so proud to
celebrate this milestone with our incredible partners!
