Hi, we’re Mizu & Riken! We’re 2.5-year-old Berners and a very bonded pair hoping to find our forever home together. We’re both house trained, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and while we may be a package deal, our personalities are wonderfully different.

I’m Mizu, the outgoing one! I’m a sweet, friendly girl with plenty of playful puppy energy, and I haven’t met a person I don’t immediately love. Belly rubs are one of my favorite things, and I’ve been known to initiate play by practically somersaulting into my humans. I’m enthusiastic about everything, so I’m still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when I play. I’m also learning my leash manners and gaining confidence around unfamiliar dogs when we’re out. Give me a yard to run in or take me along on adventures, and I’ll be one happy girl. Once playtime is over, though, I’m more than ready to turn into a snuggly couch potato.

And I’m Riken, the softer, quieter half of our duo. Once I trust you, I’m a classic Berner velcro boy who wants nothing more than to crawl into your lap and cuddle. I can be skittish with sudden movements and loud noises, so I feel safest when people give me time and approach me gently. The couch and bed are my favorite safe spots, and sitting beside me is one of the quickest ways to become my friend. My confidence is growing every day—I’m beginning to initiate play, explore toys, and show more of my sweet personality. I tend to trust women more quickly than men and would thrive in a calm home with a patient, reassuring female presence.

We’re very bonded and ideally want to continue our lives side by side. For an exceptional forever-home match, BARC may consider separating us, but finding a family with room for both of us would be our dream. Our previous owner reported that we chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. If you have plenty of love, patience, belly rubs, couch space, and room for two big Berner hearts, we may be exactly who you've been waiting for.

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP foe bonded pair in COLORADO or KANSAS CITY AREA, August 31st or ANYWHERE!

Meet Mizu, spayed female & Riken, neutered male - the newest BARC dogs. This bonded duo, ages 2.5 & 1.5 years old need a foster. They are currently being boarded as we did not have a foster located - boarding ends Sept 2nd in CO. (We do have a transport on Aug. 31st to Kansas from CO that they can catch a ride with.)

Riken and Mizu are good with older children and other dogs. Unknown with cats and small animals.
These pups are rehomes that are known to jump on people with enthusiasm!

They MUST have a secure fenced yard.

Luka is a gorgeous 6 year old neutered male in Montecito, CA that is not getting along with their new 11 month old intact berner male. We need a foster or an adopter. He is not particularly fond of other big dogs in his face.
NOTE: Luka was a re-home that they have had for a year.

He will only be in CA for the next 2 weeks and then he will be flying back to Texas with the family.

Hobbies: Boating, hanging at the beach, chasing squirrels and travel.

“I’ll give you my whole heart—I just need you to stay close while I learn to be brave.”

Hi, I'm Lincoln! I'm a 1.5-year-old Berner with a gentle heart, a smart mind, and all the loyalty you could ask for. I absolutely love people, cuddles, being petted, and staying close to my favorite person. Once I choose you, I really choose you! I'm happy, affectionate, eager to please, and very treat motivated. I'm also a quick learner—I didn't even know my new name when I arrived, but I figured out "Lincoln" in just two days! I've learned basic commands along with "gentle," "wait," "let's go," and "off," and I've already stopped jumping on people.

I'm house trained, walk nicely on a leash, and have excellent manners inside. I'm not destructive, don't chew things I shouldn't, and don't need to be crated—I do great free roaming the house. I also love playing with a ball, being groomed, and soaking up as many pets as you'll give me. I'm good with young children and would really benefit from having another confident dog in my forever home to help me feel secure.

My biggest challenge is anxiety. Loud noises and sudden movements can scare me, and I struggle when I'm separated from my person, especially since I'm happiest when someone is nearby. I'd thrive with someone who is retired, works from home, or can be with me most of the time. I also experience some nighttime anxiety and can become restless or bark. A patient family willing to continue working on my confidence and training would mean the world to me, and a training class could be a great way for us to learn together. I do okay in the car, although I'm still a little unsure about rides.

I'll also need a securely fenced yard because I'm much more comfortable doing my business in a yard than while I'm on a leash. I'm a sensitive boy who needs consistency, companionship, and reassurance—but underneath that anxiety is an incredibly smart, loving, joyful Berner who wants nothing more than to belong. Give me the security and guidance I need, and I'll give you one seriously devoted best friend.

I'm the kind of dog who's happy just being with my people, whether we're relaxing at home, going for a stroll, or hanging out with my furry friends. I'm fully house trained, walk beautifully on a leash, and can be trusted loose in the house or in a crate—I'm comfortable either way. I also get along wonderfully with cats and absolutely love spending time playing with my foster family's Berner.

Right now, I'm looking for a very special family because I'm being treated for heartworm disease. The good news is that BARC is covering all of my medical care while I complete treatment. What I need from my forever family is a quiet home that can help me take it easy while I recover. Once I'm healthy again, I'll have many wonderful years ahead of me. More than anything, I'm looking for someone who's willing to love me through this chapter and be there for all the happy ones that follow. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as mine, I promise I'll be worth the wait.

At only 5 months old, Shenandoah spent 5 days in the ER fighting severe dehydration, a high fever, and multiple intestinal parasites. She was unable to eat or drink and weighed just 31 pounds.

Hi, I'm Netti! I'm a 5-month-old bundle of love with a heart full of puppy kisses and a tail that never stops wagging. I absolutely love being around my people and am happiest when I'm snuggled up close or following you wherever you go. I currently live with two little humans, and I think they're pretty wonderful! I'm a friendly, affectionate girl who's always ready to make new friends and soak up all the love I can get.

Since I'm still just a puppy, I'm learning all the important things that come with growing up. Like any young puppy, I’m still learning all the important things! I’m working hard on my leash walking and making great progress with my potty training. I still have occasional accidents, but the other dogs in my foster home are helping show me the ropes. 🐶🐶

Because I’m still a baby, I need a family who understands that puppies need patience, consistency, supervision, and frequent potty breaks. I would do best with someone who has the time to help me continue learning and who is ready for all the fun—and occasional messes—that come with raising a puppy.

The Toy Story Litter was rescued from the shelter with their mom when they were itty bitty. Now Barbie, Woody, Buzz, Trixie, Bo Peep, Dolly, Gabby Gabby and Jessie are turning 8 weeks old. They have their first shots, microchipped, wormed and have had f***l tests done. They are ready to go along with their mother. Please help them find their forever homes!
