Thank you to Grace Church of the Nazarene - Nashville,TN and Rutland Place - A Senior Community, for making last night a special night for our friends without homes. The church provided a wonderful hot, holiday meal, and thanks to our generous donors everyone received a gift as well. Rutland collected hats and gloves at their beautiful open house last night. I can never say thank you enough for our volunteers who serve faithfully every week. Thank you for demonstrating the love of Christ and making Christmas a little merrier!

This time of year I stop and reflect and give thanks. This ministry has been so blessed by great volunteers and partners. Grace Church of the Nazarene and Church of the Nations have been by our side since the beginning, Trevecca's J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice has provided guidance and support every step of the way.. Life Church's women's ministry has provided volunteer hours and multiple supplies. Christ to the Nations recently moved to our neighborhood and one of their small groups have already donated hygiene items. GOD IS GOOD AND FAITHFUL! Thank you to everyone who has demonstrated this through the year!

City of Refuge Center is facing another change. Our monthly rent is more than we can continue to pay. Our plan is to evacuate the building by the end of the month. Please join us in praying for a new location. Our programs will continue. Covid prevented our usual fund raising efforts last year. Donations are greatly appreciated. Here are the ways you can give: Venmo: -refugecenter or CashApp: $cityofrefugecenter or by sending a check directly to 229 Bermuda Drive Nashville, TN 37214. Thank you!

The City of Refuge Center exists to assess the needs of the Murfreesboro road/Thompson Lane community and address those needs with appropriate supports. This community is a low income area that is ethnically diverse, highly transitional and has a high crime rate. Our vision is that this community has access to choices that accommodate change.
Our community has many physical needs. We are addressing those needs in the following ways:
Food- Our Eyes of Love program provides a free meal every Thursday evening. The Center is also open Thursdays from 11:00- 2:00 for lunch and referral services
Clothing- City of Refuge Center partners with Grace Church of the Nazarene yearly for a winter wear drive.
City of Refuge Center’s partner, Nashville Community Outreach and Resource Center, meets the physical needs of our population by hosting a flu clinic yearly and through Sisters on the Street. Sisters on the Street is a program that provides personal hygiene products for women.
La Familia partners with City of Refuge to connect our community to services in the Nashville area.
Church of the Nations- City of Refuge Center is home of Church of the Nations. Church of the Nations offers weekly worship services as well as outreach programs for the community
Bible Study- The Mid South District Church of the Nazarene uses the facility to trains Spanish speaking ministers and church leaders. A Bible study for Spanish speakers is offered weekly.
Our goal is to be a community resource center that is open seven days a week to meet the needs of our community.
