Dear friends,
If you are like me, you sense that a major shift has occurred in the world since the massacre of October 7, 2023.
A volcanic eruption of anti-Semitism has spread across the globe. In major cities and centers of power and influence, Jews are being targeted, harassed, assaulted, and even murdered. What was once bubbling beneath the surface has erupted through newly formed fissures in our present reality. Jew-hatred has become more than fashionable—it has become normalized, even among many of our traditional allies.
Those who identify as Christian Zionists have also been tested. Those who are stout of heart, grounded in their love for the G-d of Israel and the Jewish people, continue to share in our people's collective pain and remain steadfast in their support of Israel. Yet I have watched the number of our traditional allies dwindle. Perhaps many have been influenced by the bot farms of enemy states manipulating social media algorithms and sowing doubt about Israel and the Jewish people's destiny. Or perhaps this is part of a much larger effort to delegitimize Israel, a testing of the hearts of those who were once faithful friends.
For the past six months, we have been raising funds to purchase and install a bomb shelter for the 90 orphans of Beit Singer in Israel's Lower Galilee. We are so close to the finish line. Only $10,000 remains.
If just 100 people gave $100 each, this project would be fully funded, and these children would have a place of refuge when the next sirens sound.
My hope is to complete this project before the school year begins and while Israel has, for the moment, been spared from ballistic missiles and killer drones. I cannot shake the feeling that this window is closing quickly.
The holy month of Elul begins on the evening of August 13 and ushers in the season leading to Rosh HaShanah. Throughout the Jewish world we are reminded that "The King is in the field." It is a time to draw near to G-d, examine our hearts, adjust our lives, and make our prayers known before Him.
Today I am asking you to prayerfully consider helping us finish this project. Every gift, large or small moves us closer to protecting these precious children.
If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this post. Someone in your circle may be the person G-d uses to help us cross the finish line.
Thank you for standing with Israel, remembering these children, and proving that faithful friends still exist in this generation.
May G-d richly bless you and your family.
🇮🇱 Together, let's provide refuge before it is needed.
