Our first concert of the season is just two weeks away!

From our Artistic Director Dr. Lesley Mann: This season, we’re exploring the interconnectedness of ideas through the season theme of Tapestry. Tapestries are at their most vibrant through artful use of color, so our fall concert will consider the ways in which color shapes the way we move through and see the world. You’ll hear songs with colors in their titles, but you’ll also hear a variety of tone colors, something that Vocal Arts Nashville takes great glee in exploring. Anchoring this concert is Eric Whitacre’s luminous Sainte-Chapelle, with text by the wonderful poet Charles Anthony Silvestri, telling the story of a young girl entering the famous chapel in Paris where the colors of the stained glass come to life.

Join us for this radiant, multi-hued exploration of color and connection.

We hope you’ll join us October 18th at Belmont United Methodist Church for “Kaleidoscope of Color,” celebrating the start of our 9th concert season. Visit the link in bio to purchase tickets and to learn more.

We are excited to introduce Chase Lowery as the new Administrative Director of VAN. 🎉🎶

Lowery is a graduate of Belmont University where he studied Classical Vocal Performance and focused on feedback based programming through Belmont’s Global Honors Program.

He brings 10+ years of choral, vocal, and artistic education experience to VAN, as the group takes its place in music city with the new artistic direction of Lesley Maxwell Mann.

“I’m so beyond excited to join Vocal Arts Nashville in this capacity to work on bringing the wonderful talent of these vocal professionals to a wider audience in Music City. I also look forward to working with Lesley Mann in expanding VAN’s educational opportunities for students and navigating arts funding and support going forward.”
