As many of you know, The Law & Leadership School for grades 7th–12th is facilitated right on the grounds of our State Capitol Building (downtown) — truly a School in the Center of Democracy.
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, our students are actively learning at the Capitol, and every Friday, we conduct “Court Observation” at the historic Justice A.A. Birch Courthouse in Downtown Nashville.
In the Capitol, we have three Capitol Advisors, Representative, Rep. JohnRayClemons, Representative, Bo Mitchell, and Representative, Bob Freeman ! They truly believe in the mission that EVERY young person should know their Legal Rights and Responsibilities.
Additionally, We are honored to have the Honorable Angelita Dalton ( unofficial Page ) serving as our Courthouse Advisor. Every single Friday, Judge Dalton takes time in open court to personally address and pour into our students. Her dedication to youth leadership and civic education is unmatched.
We’re excited to officially announce that Judge Dalton will also serve as the Mock Trial Judge for our Summer Justice Fellowship Program (June 1 – July 31), as well as preside over the Mock Trial Final Exams for our Law & Leadership School students.
