Our Davidson County 4-H delegates Jewell and Miles have been representing us well at TN 4-H Congress this week! This afternoon we had the pleasure of meeting Rep. Shaundelle Brooks and watch a House of Representatives session in the General Assembly!

Our next Fun Saturday is now open for registration! 🐾 We will be exploring the world of pets as we learn how service dogs are trained, get to train young dogs on basic obedience, learn how animals are cared for, and we will be completing a service project benefiting a local animal shelter. 🐶 If you love animals this event is for you!

Next month's 4-H Creative Arts club meeting will be about bookbinding with the talented ! 📖 We'll create a stunning sculptural book that opens like a star, stands on its own, or - with a simple ribbon - can become a beautiful hanging ornament. It is prefect for art, poetry, or keepsakes. 🍀

Over fall break, Davidson County agents teamed up to host a culinary camp for 4-H youth. 🍳 For three days, 4th – 8th graders met at the Davidson County office to learn about protein, whole grains, and using My Plate to create a nutritious recipe. 🍀The campers got to try new foods, learned safe knife skills, and even competed to see who could create the tastiest and most nutritious smoothie!⭐️

Our November 4-H Fun Saturday will be all about food preservation! 🍅Participants will practice knife skills, food safety, water bath canning, and will be brining home their own jam and pickles. 🍲
