The Nashville Predators Foundation provided us a grant this year for a Nine-Square activity for our Cottage Cove Tusculum playground. It has quickly become a favorite activity. And yes, it can be adjusted for taller players.

Three-day donation match! A couple of months ago, we had a donation match for a planned concert with The Enforcer Band at the Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville. Thanks to all who gave at the time; it helped us a lot for summer programs! Since the concert was rescheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) due to stormy weather, we have another generous donation matching offer for this week’s finally-happening concert.

School is back for the fall, and Cottage Cove is working to help as many as possible, so every dollar counts. Use this secure donation link and help us meet this $3,000 match by Friday: https://Simplecheckout.authorize.net/payment/CatalogPayment.aspx?LinkId=007d7212-e639-4f02-8890-34451037950e (alternatively, you can Venmo , and all gifts on that account qualify for the donation match until Friday).

And, we'd love to see you at the concert if you're around Nashville.

I first posted her photo at the beginning of the last school year. One year later, Ning is thriving in her chosen Cottage Cove elective of guitar. And she received more than a certificate. Thanks to our partnership with Instruments of Joy, the guitar she has been practicing with now belongs to her. Thank you for enabling Cottage Cove to help students like Ning!

On Thursday evening, the Enforcer Band will host a benefit concert for Cottage Cove at the Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville. We’d love to see you there, but even if you can’t come, you can help us with your generous gift in support of our daily programs for at-risk children in Nashville. We are helping students rise above their circumstances and thrive year-round. This year has had some extraordinary expenses, including facility damages from the ice storm, so we could really use your help. Thanks to a generous matching gift, your gift will have double the impact! Photo: Our all-day summer program includes breakfast and lunch daily. Secure giving here: cottagecove.org/givingpage

One of the students in Cottage Cove's guitar class at Tusculum this semester. Album cover? The guitar she is holding is a 4/5 size, graciously provided through our partnership with Instruments of Joy!

A new year approaches for Cottage Cove Urban Ministries. Will you prayerfully consider a year-end gift to help us be ready to serve more children and youth this coming year? [One of our Cottage Cove Tusculum students did this speech without notes for Metro Nashville school teachers earlier this year.] See our website for secure giving (or the link in the first comment).

Dreaming of Christmas morning. For Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store, that’s this Saturday! As of today, we have the necessary toys and gift items. Thanks to hundreds of people who have given and volunteered, or will serve tomorrow and the next day, to bless these families. We’re a bit light on winter coats, so any last-minute gifts coming in will be used to augment those or cover additional costs. See the first comment for a secure giving link. Have a Merry Christmas!

It's almost Christmas. Through the efforts of many volunteers and donors, the Cottage Cove Christmas with Dignity Store is taking shape. With two days remaining, we’re so close, but we have a bit more shopping to do as financial gifts come in. We could use some more help on Saturday (store day) in the mid-afternoon. See the first comment for a link to give or volunteer.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. We’re now ready for 70% of the kids whose parents have been invited to shop at Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store this Saturday. We could use your help to get all the way over the next four days. And, we could use a few more volunteers in the early afternoon on Saturday. See the first comment for a link with details, volunteer signup, and secure giving.

With 7 days to be ready for all children whose families have been invited to Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store on December 13, we are now prepared for slightly more than half. Would you consider giving? Would you share the urgent need and opportunity with others? Help us be a great blessing to these families. Store volunteers are still needed, too. Thanks to all who have already given! (See first comment for volunteer and giving link).
