The holidays make me feel deep happiness and a little sadness each year.
With every holiday, another child is battling cancer, missing childhood memories and milestones, and sometimes not making it.
Understanding these things and having experience makes for humbling perspectives most days and I have to remind myself daily that not all have witnessed what cancer patients and their parents have and will.
But as crazy as it sounds I’m thankful for our perspective. I could never imagine living my life without seeing the ppl around as I do now. Feeling the way I do for ppl going through hard things. Better self awareness ❤️
Take a moment today and think of a family in the hospital during the holidays.
