Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

Twelve songwriters, representing two of the organization’s five categories, were revealed as nominees for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. The full class of inductees will be announced in the coming weeks and officially inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame later this year.

The Contemporary Songwriters category nominees are Jim Beavers, Shawn Camp, Rodney Clawson, Dallas Davidson, Marv Green, Lee Thomas Miller, Neil Thrasher and Chris Tompkins.

The 2026 nominees in the Contemporary Songwriter/Artists category include Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Taylor Swift and Phil Vassar.

We mourn the loss of Hall of Fame member Joe Melson (“Blue Bayou” / “Crying”), a 2018 inductee who passed away July 1. He was 91.

We join Nashville in mourning the devastating loss of Country Radio Hall of Famer Bill Cody, who passed away June 9 from heart and kidney failure. He was 67. The longtime Grand Ole Opry announcer was host of WSM Radio’s Coffee, Country & Cody and the voice of NaSHOF’s Hall of Fame Gala since 2010.
