The Nations Neighborhood Association is an all-volunteer community organization whose goal is to ensure that The Nations continues to be a highly desirable place to live. The Association’s role is to build community awareness by welcoming all members of the community to participate and get to know each other, being a conduit for information, advocating on behalf of its members for services and oth

er needs, holding events that build community pride and participation, cherishing and protecting our local park, promoting responsible development, advancing educational opportunities and sustainability, helping those less fortunate, and improving all facets of the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Join us for our April Monthly Meeting — a special combined gathering that brings together a community update and our regular NNA meeting in one evening.

We’ll kick things off at 6:00 PM with a community meeting featuring Councilman Rollin Horton and NDOT, who will share details on a new sidewalk project coming to Tennessee Ave.

Then stick around for our monthly meeting, featuring West Police Precinct Commander Jason Proctor as our guest speaker, followed by a local business spotlight from Nashville Swim Academy.

Update on 5901 California Ave:

The plan Wood Partners has now submitted to the Planning Commission is slightly different from what was presented at the 4/6 meeting. The updated proposal includes a brick & mortar commercial building (replacing the originally proposed food truck area), along with revised site and street view plans.

If you’d like to take a look, we’ve shared drawings from Woods Partners that show the location, layout, and scale of the proposed commercial space.

If this revision impacts your position—or if you’d simply like to share your thoughts on the plan either way—you can email the Planning Commission ([email protected]) and Council Member Rollin Horton ([email protected]) or attend the upcoming Planning Commission meeting happening tomorrow (Thursday, April 23).

Big news! Our Neighborhood Yard Sale just got even better 🏡

With less than two weeks to go and over 20 houses participating, we’re extending sale hours! The sale will now go from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM so shoppers have more time to explore and sellers have more time to sell.

After the clean-up, come gather with your fellow volunteers for a free pint courtesy of — because good work is best celebrated together! 🍺
