NeedLink Nashville NeedLink Nashville provides emergency financial assistance to our neighbors in Davidson County and NES customers.

As the cost of housing rapidly rises in Nashville, families and seniors can be left out in the cold. Seniors on fixed incomes and families working low-wage jobs struggle to save for a rainy day. A medical emergency or unexpected car repair can disrupt even the most carefully planned budget. United Way's 2-1-1 helpline reported more requests for housing-related assistance than any other type last year. NeedLink received more referrals from 2-1-1 than any other Middle Tennessee nonprofit, because of our ability to respond quickly to urgent situations, like a new mother without water in her house. NeedLink helps people pay a past-due utility bill or income-based rent for one month, allowing them to see past the emergency and make a plan for the future. In order to use community resources wisely, NeedLink verifies all requests, makes payments directly to the landlord or utility company, and limits assistance to one time in a twelve month period.
