Day 2 of Farm to Fork was all about the State Farmers Market…buying local. We saw very unique produce played BINGO and of course we had to stop at Howling Cow to see Dairy Cows and get yummy ice cream!!!

*side note camp isn’t fun unless a football is in the picture!!! 😝

🌳 Parents, bring your child (grades K–5) to the Nash County Arboretum on Thursday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. for a fun and interactive Storytime in the Gardens!

Extension Master Gardener volunteers will read a book all about trees and then lead children in hands-on activities inspired by the story. What does bark from different trees feel like? How are leaves alike—and different? Kids will explore the wonderful world of trees through observation and discovery..

This free program is a collaboration between the Extension Master Gardener volunteers and Nash County 4-H.

Day 1 of Farm to Fork kicked off today!!! We visited different farms that bring food to our tables!! Thank you Bearadise Farms Otha’s Field Farms and Strawberry City!! We had a great day today and learned so much from your tours!!! 🍀

Giant Pumpkin Program is BACK!!!

Award-winning grower Mr. Vester is supporting this year’s 4-H project by providing champion-quality pumpkin seeds. Join us to learn how to grow your very own giant pumpkin!

Pumpkin plants will be distributed in early June, and participants will learn the essential tips and techniques needed to make this a fun and successful project.
