📸 Picture Day is THIS WEDNESDAY, August 26! 📸

This weekend's a good time to pick out (and maybe iron) an outfit, since Wednesday mornings get busy fast. Solid colors and simpler patterns tend to photograph best!

Pictures are through Inter-State Studio again this year. Online ordering is open now, before and after Picture Day, but ordering ahead of time skips the shipping and handling fees that apply to after-the-fact orders. Check your email or your child's backpack for your ordering code.

🐊 Reminder: The Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application is due Monday, August 24!

Even though breakfast and lunch are free for all Gower students again this year, it's still worth completing this application if your family may qualify. It can also unlock other benefits like SAT/ACT/AP fee discounts, college application fee waivers, and programs like SNAP and Families First.

🐊 Volunteers needed for McTeacher's Night! 🥧

McTeacher's Night is Thursday, August 27, 4:30-7:30 PM at the McDonald's on Hwy 70, and we need parent volunteers to help sell apple pies! You'll be walking around inside and at the drive-thru with trays of pies and a tip jar, collecting cash donations that go straight to Gower PTO.

🍎 McTeacher's Night is Thursday, August 27, 4:30-7:30 PM at the McDonald's on Hwy 70, and 15% of ALL sales that night (100% of apple pie sales!) benefit Gower PTO!

Come grab dinner and keep an eye out, some of your favorite Gower teachers will be working the drive-thru! And save room for dessert: our teachers and volunteers will be walking around with trays of apple pies (inside AND out at the drive-thru!), all by donation, give whatever you'd like.

Gower Parent Orientation information!

Parents/Guardians join us at Gower for an orientation with teachers and administrators to learn more about the school year ahead, ask questions, and develop a partnership for student success!

1st grade - August 13 @ 5:30 pm
2nd grade - August 13 @ 5:30 pm

Gower Families,
Starting August 11, 2026 our school times will be 8:10 am - 3:10 am. Our building will open at 7:55 am daily. Car circle will close at 8:10 am. We will dismiss students at 3:10 pm and conclude car circle at 3:30 pm.
