Many may not know that Joe Sheffield, husband of Maria Joy Suffield, suffered a massive stroke three weeks ago and has undergone five major surgeries. By God’s grace, our gentle giant has survived this tremendous battle and is now on the 6th Floor Rehabilitation Unit at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital, beginning what will be a long road to recovery.
As Joe continues his rehabilitation journey, Maria Joy and their two children are facing significant emotional and financial challenges. Their GoFundMe campaign remains active, and a Meal Train is also in place to support the family. Every prayer, donation, meal, message of encouragement, and act of kindness makes a difference.

This is the true spirit of Bayanihan—coming together to lift one another up in times of need. The Sheffield family has always been willing to volunteer and help others in our community. Now it is our turn to pay it forward and show them the same love and support they have shown so many.
