Hey Nashville, here are five things most folks in our city still don't know that Nashville CARES does for all of us.

We provide real‑time risk‑reduction through our Stay Safe Nashville initiative, offering Narcan, fentanyl test strips, Drink Safe tools, and on‑the‑spot education across the city. In partnership with MNPD's Overdose Drug Task Force, our team shows up in nightlife areas, community events, and high‑traffic neighborhoods with compassion, respect, and zero judgment—helping everyone stay safer and more connected.

We run eighteen HealthyU peer groups where nobody has to walk through this alone - just real people showing up for each other with understanding and support.

We offer counseling that's there for you whether you're positive or negative - no judgment, just care for your whole mental health.

Our case managers are here to help with housing, food, transportation, and getting you connected to whatever you need to move forward and thrive.

Forty years strong. Still here for our community.

For years, they've been unwavering champions of Nashville CARES, opening their hearts, their businesses, and their voices in support of our mission. Their commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces and lifting up our community has made a lasting impact, and this honor couldn't be more well deserved.

Nashville CARES proudly celebrates our very own Lisa Binkley on receiving the Bianca Paige Legacy Award from Nashville Pride.

This award highlights her exceptional leadership in HIV prevention and her meaningful ties to the enduring impact of Mark Middleton and his iconic persona, Bianca Paige. Through bold performances and fearless advocacy, Bianca became a powerhouse for education, stigma reduction, and fundraising—generating over a million dollars for HIV/AIDS services, including essential support for our organization. Mark’s commitment continues to inspire our daily efforts to expand testing, care, and community resources.

Lisa’s steadfast guidance of our Prevention team embodies the same spirit of resilience and service that defined this legacy. Her work strengthens our mission and delivers real results for those we serve.

Thank you, Lisa, for your tireless dedication and for carrying this important work forward. And thank you, Mark/Bianca—your contributions remain a vital part of our community’s progress.

RuCo Pride was a fantastic celebration last Saturday in Murfreesboro! 🌈✨

Oaklands Mansion was packed with color, great music, and good energy as our Rutherford County community came together for a strong, joyful day. It was great seeing so many people out, connecting, dancing, and just being themselves.

Our Nashville CARES and CARES 360 team had a wonderful time being part of it sharing resources, and chatting with folks who stopped by. It's always encouraging to see people taking pride in their health and looking out for themselves and each other.

Days like this remind us how important community spaces are. Thank you to everyone who came through and said hello!

The WeGo Journey Pass is free, unlimited and good for a full three years. City buses, the WeGo Star train, Access, Link, even trips that cross county lines. No catch.

Live in Davidson County and already work with a Metro agency like MDHA, Metro Social Services, Metro Action Commission or the Office of Homeless Services? You probably qualify right now. Not linked to any of them yet? Still ask. More ways to qualify are opening up this year, and we will help you figure out where you land.
