Through October 15, we recognize and celebrate the history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across our country.

These stories and experiences are an important part of the American story, and this month gives us another opportunity to listen, learn, and honor the people and communities helping shape our shared future.

𝐔𝐑𝐁𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄! 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝟐𝟑 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐒 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑

Episode 23 of our weekly “Urban League Live” debuts today, Tuesday, October 6, and airs each subsequent Tuesday this month at 6:00 pm on The Spot Nashville 28.

As we prepare for the November elections, voter registration, education, and engagement are perhaps more critical than at any time in recent years. For the state of Tennessee, we will see several significant races on our ballot, including the election of our next governor. Are you registered to vote? If so, do you know if your name has been dropped from the voter list? Where is your polling location? What do you do if you need an ID to vote? This month, we’ll answer these questions and more as we discuss the importance of “Reclaiming Your Vote,” with guests John D. Richardson, Administrator of Elections, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Election Commission; Cedric Belcher, Director of Compliance and Expungements, Davidson County Office of the Criminal Court Clerk; and MacKenzie Wilhoite, Front Office Manager, Urban League of Middle Tennessee.

“Urban League Live,” hosted by ULMT President and CEO Clifton Harris, addresses workforce and economic development, housing, transportation, and other challenges impacting communities throughout our Middle Tennessee region, particularly underserved and underrepresented groups, and the people working to find solutions. Beginning this month, ULMT COO Tempest Utley will join President Harris as program co-host. Tune in each Tuesday at 6:00 pm on The Spot Nashville 28 (available over-the-air on Channel 28 or on Comcast/Xfinity Channel 1028) for “Urban League Live.”
