From the bottom of my heart for every single dollar you generously gave in honor of Kyler’s 18th birthday. We promise to put back everything we receive always into our communities and change lives.
We promise our commitment to advocate for safer roads and to
make change so that our loved ones are safer because of Kyler’s impact.
If one person is saved from the heartbreak we endure it’s worth everything!

Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for every single dollar that has come through! We promise to put every dollar back out to our communities to promote kindness and safer roads! We are only $250 away from our birthday goal and would love if only TEN more people could do $25! That would hit our goal!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing our boys legacy!! 💙💙💙

This week we celebrate what would have been Kyler's 18th birthday- a milestone we wish we could be celebrating with him.
November 7th is a very special day for us.

In his honor, we are asking for donations to Kyler's Impact Foundation, the non-profit created to carry forward his light, kindness, and our passion for safer roads. More to come on this!

There will be so much to come in the future but our mission is simple yet powerful and Kyler is going to continue to change and save lives.

Last night to honor our boys love for Halloween we randomly placed 30 pumpkins on 30 random porches.

They were placed at homes addresses that included a #7.

We even received a message we placed on a porch where someone else had lost a child at a young age in a car accident and that it was very special to them. 🥹

The note we placed on the pumpkins read:

In memory of Kyler Gatica

He loved Halloween, laughter, and a good scare! Kyler never missed a chance to jump out and make someone scream -and then laugh harder than anyone else.
So as you take this pumpkin in, remember to smile, laugh, and maybe give someone a little boo!
That's exactly what Kyler would do.

Many months ago, we met our dear friend Ed at the cemetery where our sweet boy, Kyler, is laid to rest. From the very first conversation, there was an instant connection — three broken hearts finding comfort in shared grief. Ed was mourning the loss of his wife of 52 years, and we were mourning our sweet boy Kyler.

Since that day, we have met at least once a month, sitting together, sharing memories, and finding quiet strength in each other’s presence. Last night, we had the honor of celebrating Ed’s 82nd birthday — a gentle reminder that even in the midst of deep sorrow, life still offers us moments of connection, friendship, and hope.

Be kind and be a friend.

A teen told us

“ Your son is the reason I believe there is still good in this world.”

This absolutely meant the world to us. My memory is terrible after the accident but I will never forget this. It’s SO powerful especially coming from a teen.

We are putting it on Kyler’s headstone. 🫶

You guys remember the Southwest employee that found Kyler’s card with the Jesus on the plane. I’m just amazed at the message I just received.

Kyler has accompanied me to Tulsa, St. Louis, Denver, Richmond, Chicago, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Myrtle beach, Baltimore, buffalo, Colorado Springs and Dallas in the last month. We just spent a week in Costa Rica fishing and now we’re back in Houston.

Kyler even accompanied them in San Jose Costa Rica! My baby boy is traveling the world and I’m so grateful for people like this to share with me. We love Southwest!

Trevor and I went to the zoo today and passed out / hidden a few hundred eggs with bracelets and kindness cards. We will ALWAYS speak his name, share his memory, and spread his kindness. 💙🩵💙
