We are raising funds to hand-deliver at least 100 personal water filters to people in the affected areas of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

In partnership with the Brentwood REI Co-op we are able to get discounted Sawyer Mini Water Filters for about $20 per unit, each one rated for filtering up to 100k gallons and can be used as a filter straw, mounted on a standard water bottle or included 16oz pouch, or used as an inline filter...and it can easily fit in a pocket.

For every $20 donated an individual or an entire family can know they have a source of safe, clean drinking water until the infrastructure of the area can be repaired...which may be months away, or much longer. The $2,000 GoFundMe goal is for 100 units, but every $20 past the goal is another family that can have clean water, so don’t stop if the goal is reached!

I will be placing the order on Monday, October 7th, picking up on Tuesday or Wednesday, and then personally driving them to the Asheville region to pass them out to anyone in need..and also finding other ways to help while I’m there.

This is terrible!! The Catio does wonderful work in the Nashville area getting cats adopted, and the Senior Catio will be a sanctuary for older adoptable cats. If you can, donate and/or share!

🚩🚩 ***911 EMERGENCY PLEASE READ FULLY*** 🚩🚩

Well Catio friends, followers, and supporters, coming to you with one of -those- posts. If you've followed us at all on the main Catio page you know what I mean, but this time I'm here asking you to be ready to get mad. Here goes...
Today at 10:46 we received notice from the City of Mt Juliet, an immediate cease and desist for the Senior Catio location. A letter that gives us just 10 days to stop operation and get out of the building. The building we have carefully and lovingly put THOUSANDS of dollars into in order to make it a welcoming and safe for the kitties.
Catio Why?
Trust us, we've been screaming for hours now. Why is because the owner of this property entered into a lease with us for a building that CANNOT be occupied by law. Due to zoning regulations NOTHING can be in this building, even worse the city says the landlord has been told this before. Again this structure/garage is prohibited from being utilized as a business, and no further business operations can continue and it was a known fact before we even signed our lease.
The mix of emotions we are feeling is.... well lets just say there's a lot of words I can't put onto our social media pages, but that this post has taken me sometime to write because I am shaking.
So, what do we do? Well once the panic, cry, scream into the void, hit something, and maybe be sick pass we are trying to figure that out. We are looking for a new space. We are talking to the city about options. We are talking with legal professionals.
No matter who we talk to we still are faced with some very big bumps in the road, so what we can do right now is start fundraising. We hope to recoup our costs in this space, but we have no idea how long that might take.
No matter what we have to keep going. These cats need us, we are meeting a need that no one else in the area is. To do that, more than anything right now we need funding so we have started our first ever gofundme.

The final destination! Thank you, thank you to the for facilitating this project and to Roman and Anna for escorting our CEO Billy from Lviv to Kyiv (& finishing the drive when he got too tired) and for handling the transfer to .The truck will become a mobile hospital/base camp in the Bakhmut area of the Donetsk Oblast 🚚 Thank you to everyone who donated and supported us, from Nashville all the way to Ukraine!

As many know, tornadoes came through middle Tennessee Saturday afternoon and evening, killing 6 people, injuring dozens more, and causing widespread destruction. This is even more of a reason to donate to our Emergency Relief Fund so we can quickly distribute resources to those in need - click the link in bio to donate & share our GoFundMe with others.
