🌸 June is Uterine Cancer Awareness Month 🌸
Uterine (endometrial) cancer is one of the most common gynecologic cancers, but knowing the signs and risks can save lives. This month, let’s spread the word, promote early detection, and support the incredible survivors and patients in our community.
What to watch for (Early Warning Signs):
Unusual vaginal bleeding (especially after menopause)
Persistent pelvic pain
Other ongoing, unusual changes in your body
🔍 Key Risk Factors:
While anyone with a uterus can develop it, factors like obesity, aging, family history, reproductive history, and prolonged estrogen exposure can increase your risk.
Steps you can take today:
You can actively reduce your risk by committing to a healthy lifestyle. Focus on eating nutritious meals, staying active, and maintaining a healthy weight.
When to see a doctor: If you or a loved one are experiencing any of these symptoms especially if you've gone through menopause or have known risk factors, please don't wait. Schedule a prompt medical evaluation. Early diagnosis makes all the difference!
