Did someone say manicure? 💅🏻

Youth serving with us in Nashville stepped right up to give some world-class nail service to an elderly facility.

Not only did this create a precious memory, but it paved a way for meaningful conversations across the generations— one of the goals of Widow & Elderly Care program. Thanks students for stepping up!

Welcome to SLAM and ! We are so glad you joined us this week to draw near to God, reflect on your place among the Lord’s (1 Peter 2:9) and serve Nashville!

Already today these teams visited widows, cleaned apartments, helped with food distribution to families in need, and assisted program with their service to immigrant and refugee kids. They served over 130 people today, and provided a total of 370 hours of service in Just. ONE. DAY!

Give these groups some shout outs, words of encouragement, and prayer as they live a mission this week!

A BIG HEARTFELT THANK YOU to this year’s team for all the ways you took our first Nashville week to the next level.

The final testimony night gave so many shout outs to you interns and we feel like we could give so many more! You prayed, led worship, cleaned, led service projects, led games, hosted dinners, clothed us in merch, kept us organized, led the best ever Late Nites and were an example of serving the Lord to 150+ young people across the country.

If you’ve ever been part of a SLAM week, you can likely relate to the impact that it has. Take a moment to read about our initiative to provide scholarships to 50 students this summer who would not otherwise be able to participate. 5 have been funded and we invite you to show Genuine Concern so that we can multiply to 45 more. The opportunity to give will extend through December 31 so please donate and spread the word!

Students Living a Mission has been teaching kids how service is an act of worship for 21 years. This year it's our goal scholarship 50 urban and minority students to attend SLAM who ordinarly would not have the means. We've raised enough for 4 students so far! SLAM leadership is taking time to join in the Nashville Youth Pastor Summit, where we will have the opportunity to spend a few focused days with like-minded brothers and sisters who are also developing students to love God and love others! Looking forward to this time as we get ready for a summer filled with meaningful service opportunities.
