New commercial multiengine pilot in the group! Congratulations to for getting this one knocked out!

“Officially a Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot — and above ATP multi-engine minimums.
Today is a good day.

This one took longer than I expected. Aviation has a way of humbling you — between weather, maintenance, scheduling, motherhood and the many moving parts that come with flying. Looking back, I realize how much growth happens in the space between where you start and where you finally arrive.

Switching careers midlife comes with its own challenges. Aviation, with all of its ups and downs, will test you in ways you never quite anticipate. But every step along the way teaches you something about persistence, patience, and respect for the process.

I’m incredibly thankful for every person who has stood beside me and supported me along the way. Thankful for a family who loves me and continues to push me forward. And deeply thankful that I get to go out and fly airplanes — something not many people can say they do, and something I never take for granted.

A sincere thank you to my instructor and for crossing the finish line with me and for helping me get the process started! Also thank you to for stepping in to help! You’re all amazing and so appreciated!

I’m constantly reminded that the opportunity to pursue something like this is a gift.

I’m ready for the next chapter and to take it on full speed ahead.

Wherever these beautiful skies lead.

Grateful for the skies ahead and the One who guides the journey.”

The Nashville Chapter of The Ninety-Nines is proud to award our $5,000 Fly Forward Scholarship to Inara Grubb.

Inara is a dedicated aviation student at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and is currently working toward earning her private pilot license at Murfreesboro Aviation. She is pursuing a career as a professional pilot while balancing two aerospace-related jobs at MTSU, leadership roles, and community involvement. Her passion for flying has shaped her academic journey and continues to guide her future in aviation.

Inara is actively involved in multiple aviation organizations and is committed to giving back, especially by encouraging and supporting students who may not always feel represented in the aviation industry. The Fly Forward Scholarship will help provide financial support as she continues working toward her private pilot license and the next steps in her aviation career.

Please join us in congratulating Inara on this well-deserved achievement. ✈️
