October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which means lots of pretty pink ribbons everywhere as companies try to capitalize on the power of pink. Know where your money is going. Know that cancer isn't pretty. I created this tumbler through my company Spirit Sippers because the reality is -- cancer sucks. Thanks to everyone who came to our 4th Annual Crop for the Cure! We raised over $800 for breast cancer research! Although we never know how many birthdays, weddings and anniversaries are celebrated thanks to Komen grants, we do know that YOU made a difference in someone's life Saturday!

Also don't forget to bring those old tapes to be transferred to DVD. $12 with half the cost donated back to Komen! Wouldn't it be great to watch your wedding video again? Or embarrass your kids with the Hi8 home movies?

Today's the big day! Crop for the Cure at Hillcrest United Methodist Church in South Nashville. Even if you aren't cropping, stop by and see us between 2-8. We have a used book sale, tumblers, custom cards and Scentsy for sale. Silent auction runs until 7, and $1 A Minute Massages start at 7. Great day for a great cause. Marie is walking 17 miles this morning... because EVERYONE DESERVES A LIFETIME!

What format is YOUR wedding video on? Mine's on Super VHS. My daughter's baby videos are on Hi-8. AJ Media Services will transfer them to DVD for $12 a tape, and Saturday, half the cost gets donated to Komen for the Cure! Get your tape to a Music City Spirit team member or bring it by the 4th Annual Crop for the Cure Saturday any time between 2pm - Midnight!
