when you next visit the club you will probably notice the increased presence of Honeybees at the hummingbird feeders. It is dry and food sources for our bees are drying up. i have started to supplumental feed our bees which should lessen their desire to accumulate and compete for food for the hummingbirds which are feasting in preparation for their journey south. that will result in increased costs as it takes 25 lbs of sugar to fill 2 28 pound containers roughly 3 gallons per container to feed our bees going into winter.
