"Frogs with their legs severed and surrounded by frogspawn struggle to the surface, after being thrown back into the water in Covasna, Romania, in April. Frogs’ legs are frequently harvested for food in the spring, when males and females gather to mate and spawn. A small part of the population in the Carpathian Mountains make their living by collecting frogs’ legs in the wild and selling them."

Summer is almost here. Over the summer, while we all have more time, let's all make conscious decisions to benefit the Earth. Habits can be formed over time, and all we need is small changes from everyone. Encourage those you know and use your voice to speak out. Use your vote for change. We love our planet and we want to leave a good legacy. The climate crisis is now, and it is time to make a change.

"Warming waters have driven thousands of ocean species poleward from the equator, threatening marine ecosystems and the livelihoods of people who depend on them."
Experts estimate a 40% drop in marine life populations near the equator by mid-century. This is detrimental to small fisheries and families who rely on these fish for food. Global warming reaches every area of life and if we do not take collective effort to stop this from happening, human lives will continue to be in danger and the danger will increase.

Fracking disproportionately affects poor and rural families. A study has shown that chemicals like benzene and butylcyclohexane are in drinking water and air samples. It has shown breakdown products for chemicals like ethylbenzene, styrene, and toluene in the bodies of children living near fracking wells at levels up to 91 times as high as the average American and substantially higher than levels seen in the average adult cigarette smoker.

Studies show that while most people oppose fracking, lawmakers who support pro-fracking legislation have received vast amounts of money from the industry. It's time to end this injustice.

Turns out that Japanese cherry blossom trees can indicate spring temperatures. Delayed blooms are an indication of rising global temperatures and mean that spring temperatures will be warmer than normal. In addition, without adequate winter climates, the tree cannot properly complete its growth cycle. If winter temperatures continue to rise, they may cease to bloom at all.
