This isn’t our usual setting, but it’s been one of the most eye-opening. At The University of Alabama, our TVK mentors are now serving inside a local elementary school in desperate need of support.

Each mentor is paired one-on-one with a student (ages 11 and under), showing up every week 🛝🌲🪁
and the transformation has been incredible.

Teachers are sharing story after story of kids who were struggling with anger, behavior, and participation… now showing peace, confidence, and growth.

This is why mentoring matters. It starts earlier than we think 💯

Art has a way of reaching places words can’t 🎨🖌️

Through drawing and scripture, our incredible mentor Maggie created a space for our foster youth to slow down, reflect, and heal.

“You could see it alllll over their faces” 🩵 joy, peace, and something deeper…
like they were being reminded of who they are.
Thank you for the opportunity for us to be able to serve your kids …

Mentor Monday: Ravin was once an incarcerated youth.

He knows what it feels like to be on the other side, lost, unsure, and in need of someone to believe in him.

But O N E person showed up.
One person invested.
One person believed he was capable of more And it changed everything.

Today, Ravin is giving back as a mentor and serving on the board of The VERB Kind.

He is living proof that mentorship works.

That showing up matters.

That ONE relationship can rewrite a story.

This is WHY we do what we do.

And there are thousands of youth still waiting for someone to believe in them.

🩵Become a mentor
🩵Support the mission

Because the next Ravin is out there, waiting on someone like YOU to say yes.

Mentor Highlight: Bryce became a quadriplegic at 19 years old.
He could have chosen to sit on the sidelines.
Instead, he showed up.

As a mentor with The VERB Kind, Bryce came into a juvenile facility in a wheelchair… and into the lives of boys who had never seen anything like it.

One of the most disruptive boys made it a point to sit next to him every week. During Bible study, he would quietly turn the pages for Bryce.

That’s what happens when love shows up consistently.
Walls come down. Hearts change.

You do not need perfect circumstances to make an impact.

You just need to show up.

🩵 Become a mentor
🩵 Be part of moments like this

Because someone is waiting on the other side of your “yes.”

Pray for our youth 🙏🏽 they need the HOPE that conquers all things …
